Agree a supportive and listening friend is the best. ;-) We like shopping for food on Sundays! Some people need time to grieve after leaving Mormonism. Liturgical worship and hymn can be enjoyable sometimes, an invitation to join you when you want to attend is nice. Sending my greetings and regards to you both.

I wish I had seen all of the things you see! Please RUN !!! I Am a heart broken convert that woke up after my kids left, after the damage of paying tithing and spending too much time in meetings. Others have given advice to be wary of getting connected with controlling groups. It is good to take time to find out what you believe before making any commitment to any congregation. When we first left TSCC, We checked out sermons online at congregation websites. We are wary of any groups that are controlling; such as having to attend assigned bible study group and needing to confess

Differences in the use of the temples might be a crack in someone's shelf. It helped us to wake up and realize the con that is paying tithing to the LDS!

Another interesting read by Richard C Evans (RLDS first counselor to their prophet) after he found out about Joe Smith's polygamy etc. "Forty years in the Mormon Church" http://www.solomonspalding.com/docs2/1920Evn1.htm First chapter "Why I Left" Wouldn't it be great for some higher up LDS to leave in our day!
