I live in the NW not too far from Starbuck's HQ. I've been in SB with friends but never order anything, like you I don't know the lingo. Just can't order a 12 oz regular drip coffee. No such thing exists at SB, it's a Grande, double shot Guatemalan select expresso and it's only $7 with a mandatory 20% tip. Go to Denny's, McDonalds, or just your local restaurant/café. I'm a little parti

There's a forecast for a couple of large storms hitting the northwest over the next few days. Impacted areas include Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, western half of Montana and Wyoming. Be prepared. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/powerful-storms-to-deluge-northwestern-us-into-next-week-sign-of-winter-to-come/60628894

If you can get some information on her status and in particular, her and the baby's financial situation, maybe a Go Fund Me account can be set up on their behalf that we can donate.

I was braced for the donations to the mission or some other church related item. But the idea that he fixed things to his liking and way of thinking is very funny. Gerry rigging, making do is a sign of someone that thinks on his own. That is further illustrated in the fact there isn't any talk of any LDS services, just a fitting celebration of his life in his home.

I belong to AARP, through them you can get pretty good home and car insurance at reduced premiums. Also, many motels give a discount of about 10% on rates. Also many chain restaurants give discounts. It doesn't take much to recoup your annual fees. I don't especially agree with most of their political views, but I don't need to embrace them, I just look for the things that will bene

No one has mentioned that a new temple in Hartford, Connecticut was opened last week. http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/hartford-connecticut-temple-open-house?imageView=Hartford-CN-Temple7-2016.jpg

One of the biggest differences between the rich and the not so rich is income and earnings. Most of the money the not-so-rich have is income, money from jobs etc. The rich get most of their money from earnings, money from stocks, interest etc. The rich have bought the lawmakers, so income and earnings are treated differently for tax purposes. For various reasons, I listen to the radio program while I walk the dog on Sunday mornings. I was taken back by todays 'Spoken Word'. The topic was the Sabbath is a day of rest. Time to recharge, spend time with the family and just relax. That sure conflicts with the tone of messages on this board where Sunday is a day of long meetings and endless church work. The web site https://www.

My Mother's BD was on October 8th, but somewhere along the line my sister-in-law insists I told her Mom's BD was October 31st. For over 40 years she'd send Mom a birthday card on Halloween.

There's a Center-Cut NY Strip Steak or a Maple-Glazed Chicken on the menu. If that isn't to your liking, I'm sure a hamburger joint is near by.

I got $250K from my M/D estate two years ago. Got two children who are married and 5 grandkids. Over the last two years I've given them $220k with no strings attached, only asking the grand kids (ages 23 thru 12) that they use it for their educations. Dad dangled the money like a carrot, at a time my sibs and I were established with jobs and homes. We don't need the money now, only hope t

As a RC,I totally agree with Australia. The most political thing I've ever heard about supporting any candidates is that we are encourage to study the issues and the candidates and vote our conscience. There have been topics like abortion, etc.

How old, or what physical state will people be in in the afterlife? Will everyone be in their prime, 20-30 years old with the knowledge and wisdom of one in their 50-60s? Will I find my GGGG Grandmother hot and enticing? Maybe everyone is having a great time, so much so that they don't have time to report back to earth what it's really like. Things could very confusing.

I listen most Sunday's to "Music and the Spoken Word" for a number of reasons. I find the music runs the gamut from LDS to musical, to show tunes, classical and patriotic. If it all was LDS songs I'd find a different radio station.

1943. Re: Beards
I worked with a guy that decided to grow a goatee. It grew in thick and bold. Only problem, it was dark on the sides but white/Gray in the middle. He thought it looked very distinguished until a co-worker told him to tell his wife to quit douching with bleach. The goatee was gone the next day.

Good thing it wasn't Sunday, if it was the coffee would have shorted out the monitor and you'd need to get a new one.

Do what civilizations have done for million of years, ADAPT. If the waters are rising, move to higher ground. If it's too hot, move to cooler climates. If it's too dry, move to where there's water. Northern Canada gets warmer, then they will grow more crops, more efficiently with their longer summer hours. Nature takes care of itself. Maybe Nature doesn't like people living on beaches

It's further amazing that 2/3 of American families can't cover a $1,000 emergency without borrowing from a friend/family or by selling something. http://kron4.com/2016/05/20/poll-most-americans-cant-cover-1000-emergency/ The 10% tithing would go a long way to bridge the gap.

What ever printers you look at, compare the cost of toner cartridges (laser) or ink cartridges for the different makes and models. It can make a sizeable difference over the life, 3-5 years, of the printer.

One final thing you might try, especially if you've recently upgraded to Windows 10. Go to the "Device Manager" select your printer and delete it. Also delete any short cuts you created to access your printer. Go to HP and search for Window 10 "Drivers" for you model of printer, hopefully it's available. Follow the bouncing ball for installing the drivers and installa
