FCD, I know your post was geared towards men but I can assure you I feel your pain with the gut. Even though getting my boobs done helped in that department I still have this icky gut! rander70 is so right! Although I hated my gut at the same time as I hated my boobs, maybe not as long as my tummy was awesome...until I had kids! Now I have this belly I can't get rid of that gets more bloated

I guess your right skeptifem...society does perpetuate the "look" and most people follow that. I guess I am offended by the thought that I am following scociety's dictates, even though I kind of did...it makes no scense I know! But the reason why I say that it offgends me to be put in that place is because it's not like I looked at a fashion magazine model and said "I want to be

I suppose that is true goldenrule but it's not always the case either. My daycare provider and her sister, both young, beautiful TBM women, want boob jobs. Neither one of them want it because they feel pressure about their looks, they want them for they same reason I did, because they are flat as a pancake...seriously FLAT AS A PANCAKE, clothing is hard to shop for and it will make them feel be

Ya know, getting a breast augmentation is not really a bad thing. I'm hoping the that most people who comment on this subjet (which comes up a lot here) don't mean to be judgmental and this is something to which I just can't stay silent about anymore because I live in Utah, I am not mormon, and I got a boob job! Yep that's right I got one and I LOVE my new boobs. And there is a stigma involv

I work in downtown SL, there is a homeless guy that hangs around, most of you Utah peeps may have even seen/heard of him. I call him the creepy cello guy. He carries around a battered cello and plays it and sings (very badly). KSL did a news report on him last year I think it was. I REFUSE to give this man money. He lives in a condo for free, has a cell phone, someone bought him a new bike an

I put this quote on my FB page a couple of months ago and got lectured from a TBM about free agency. She then took the comment off before I could explain to her what free agency looks like to a non mormon growing up behind the zion curtain!

In the teacher's defense, they do manage to find very cute outfits. This teacher (who is mormon) was just confinding to me how she has to pass up such cute things because the skirt might be too short or the top is sleeveless because the studio owner will not approve. And I agree with sonoma, in most cases, I've seen some of the things the dancers wear, even at BYU that could be considered immod

So my daughter just started taking a dance class, keep in mind that she is 3 years old. Her teacher was telling me on Saturday that the owner of the dance studio is very mormon, (the teacher is mormon too, but not nearly as over the top as the owner)so when they order costumnes for the shows they are not allowed to order anything sleeveless, no tank tops and no short skirts...THEY ARE 3 YEARS OL

You also can't carry your own alcoholic beverage from the bar area to your table, the wait staff must do it for you. There can only be one alcoholic drink on the table per person...no drink and a shot!

I go to Disneyland every year for vacation with my family and it never gets old. I get teary eyed at the parades (I'm a big sap, I know it!) I just can't help myslef...and I've never been mormon, I was raised in Utah, however I didn't go to Disneyland/

Everyone keeps saying how the LDS prayer AKA blessing is spoken from the heart, and not constant repetition like a catholic prayer but have any of you ever really payed attention when someone is giving a blessing? I'll tell you this, every one I've ever heard has been exactly the same... "Our dear kind heavenly father, we are so very grateful that we could be here together today as a fam

What you need to do when your caught at an affair is to transfer blame on the other person...especially if it's a woman, go on and on about how horrible she is and all the things she's done wrong (make them up if you have to) and she'll forget about the affair (for a little while) and feel like crap about herself. WOrd of warning though, she will eventually realize what a douche bag you are, the

Weeder, yes there is a law. Several years ago banks made a big stink and took credit unions to court because credit unions were "stealing" all of their buisness by offering better interest rates and such. There have always been requirements when joining a credit union but they were never followed. Now they follow them but make the rules so expansive so pretty much anyone can join.
