Truly awful, and sad. I couldn't finish watching it. Do they realize this book was written by a lying pedophile, and it's full of racist trash. Just sad.

Apparently millions of members are "taking a brake" these days. And as to the "no soliciting" sign -- let's see... the homeowners have explicitly stated they don't want anyone ringing the door bell, but you guys are Mormons?? Why didn't you say so? Come on in fellas...would you care for some lemonade? Right.

Suicides up. Lesbian mayor has been cordial, respectful...so far. Mormons are becoming outnumbered in Utah. Residents are tired of living under a dictatorship. Mormon church could strangle economy, destroy tourist industry. Church is obviously fake, even to many members who go along with it. Is the pressure ramping up in SLC? Is there a revolution brewing? How much more time do the brethre

Young people in this church are extremely vulnerable. They are brainwashed into believing that they must belong, then told they're not good enough to belong. They are told that something is wrong with them, and they don't measure up to the church's standards. This is a form of abuse. The old men running this church are bullies. They talk about love, but don't know what it is.

I think the prevailing attitude of upcoming generations will be "the church is fake, but you go along with it". There's just too much information available to think otherwise.

Yes, the 15 million is a lie. A complete bald-faced lie. They love to lie, and they have been lying since the mid 18 hundreds. The whole foundation of their religion is based on lies. Joseph Smith was a compulsive liar. They will continue to lie because that is what they do best. They are a strange breed. They love to lie.

Positive values and sense of community can and do exist quite nicely outside of Mormonism. So, no, there is nothing worth saving here. Mormonism needs to be eradicated entirely. The lies, the corruption, the shunning and hurtful treatment of those that don't "measure up"...

Journalists, comedians, documentary makers are now catching on that the cojcolds is one of the most corrupt money-grubbing corporations on the planet. You name it, they do it: extortion ("law" of tithing), human trafficking (missionary program) fraud (BoM, BoA).

Personally, I'm inspired by the old geezers who manage to keep on keeping on, regardless of how delusional they might be. I often think about how Ronald Reagan became president at the age of 70. I figure if he can take on a job like that at age 70, I have nothing to complain about.

J.S. was a bad guy, BoM not true. He's just about ready to get out. Go slow, give him time. Why do you need to tell him you're an apostate? Just drop some hints and let him lead the way.

Let him retire already. Ook-dork could easily take the helm. He's quite delusional and well suited for the job.

Dave the Atheist Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "'I know the Scriptures Are True." ... is not what > TSCC claimed at the trial in England. Suddenly all that knowledge became "beliefs". How convenient.

They're trying to do away with the meat. Many of the members who take their kids think the cojcolds is a mainstream protestant church where they can learn good values, like sharing and loving the lord. They have never heard about the "meat". The meat is a thorn in the brethren's sides. The meat causes them no end of problems and threatens their billions of dollars of income. Th

I just read it. Not a bad article, but Peggy really needs to stop with "15 million-member global faith" baloney. She knows that is a bald-faced lie. The cojcolds is unravelling. They can keep the deception up for only so long. It is an interesting social experiment that has an expired shelf-life.

Isn't the quality of everything in Mormonism slipping? Because of their absurd beliefs and gross mismanagement they can no longer retain their brightest and best. Pretty soon the MoTab choir will be stocked with clingy tone-deaf yowlers who are happy to belong to a social club. Or is that already the case?

I agree with anon100's assessment. Here in Canuck land the legal blood alcohol limit is .08. My understanding is that someone blowing .08 is quite drunk. So drunk,in fact, that now at .05 a "warning" is given. For drivers under 21 there is zero tolerance for DUI. The whole thing is just a big game to satisfy the MADD folks and the bar/restaurant owners all at the same time.

You got that right, boner. Nothing like a creepy, 19th century masonic lodge to make you feel good about your religion. Let us thank Elohim for the plan of happiness.

I have looked at a number of photos of GC and there are always some empty seats. I think the day will come when they will need to close the balconies and keep the camera shots low. They built these huge facilities when they thought there would be no end to Mormon growth. Well, surprise. The membership is shrinking, and fewer people are interested in your dog and pony show. Time to downsize the wh

I like my beer, my scotch, my liqueurs -- but I'm very careful when it comes to driving. I,too, cannot understand how some people who are rip-roaring drunk can get behind the wheel and think they can drive. This is a level of insanity to which I cannot relate. CF

What I'm thinking is that believing but inactive Mormons have accepted the fact that they will be going to the terrestrial kingdom and not the celestial kingdom. The terrestrial kingdom is supposed to be a beautiful place, but they will not be in the presence of God, Jesus or Joseph Smith. However, they will be visited by Jesus (and presumably Joseph Smith if he's not too busy with his celestial

azsteve makes some very good points. Is all their income tax exempt? Is anyone scrutinizing this? Of course they are very cleverly taking advantage of their tax free status as a "church", but how long can it last? Everyone knows they are a for-profit corporation that avoids charitable giving at all costs. Is it just a matter of time until they are called out?

The historical claims of Mormonism have already been destroyed, but the institution won't be destroyed; it will only change. It has changed in the past and it is changing now. It will continue to change in order to survive.

Everything the morg does is tainted. Read the comments. No matter how cute, how glitzy, or how slick, they can't escape their own odor.
