if they know the action is unwanted. What does the dictionary say "solicit" means? To appeal for (as in aid or donations.) Also to entice or lure. We all know that when mormons go to private homes, their purpose is to make an appeal for something and to entice or lure the residents to do something. Their behavior is the embodyment of solicitation.

knows more about *my* personal business than *I* do. This character made up the story about a fictional car accident when in fact I had mentioned but did not elaborate on a medical emergency. Some might think this is only a minor side issue. Not me. I resent anyone misusing me and my family in an attempt to spread hate and misunderstanding. To be clear: I support RfM administration. I ag

No need to ask them of me. I remember the incident, and I've said what is documented and true unlike your facebook associate who is a liar.

I think the guy is dishing out the company line. Of course he's nice guy. Most mormons are "nice." Actually, most non-mormons are also nice. Some missionaries enjoy their missions and are glad for the "opportunity." Many others are sorry about it for the rest of their lives. It's much more likely that those with doubts will hate the experience than the ones who are en

I think you're the first to post this happy news on the new board. A *huge^ milestone for you and also one for the new improved RfM. I liked your description of how it feels to get your all-important freedom papers! : )

I'd be sad to think of an exmo doing such a thing, being so deceitful and slimy after wallowing and finally escaping, as we all have, from the mormon slime pit. I think most of us want to feel clean, honest, and decent after all we've suffered. Perhaps this creep is a mormon hanger-on-er or FARMS-type plant.

It's come to my attention that some exmo has been using my name, my reputation, and a chronic health conditon with one of my children to stir up trouble and hatred. This creep has never met me and doesn't care anything about what I think or feel. He's lying about something that happened on the recovery board nearly FiVE YEARS ago, something that was no concern of his. In the world of cy

It assumes that you'll lose your family if you don't knuckle under to church dictates. That a silly proposition because church assumptions and doctrine are all bogus. Reminds me of my mother quoting D&C and BofM to convince me that I should go back to church. That's like citing the Man in the Moon as an expert authority. There came a time when my older brother, the bully, couldn't sc

Many choose to send it to Greg Dodge in SLC with copies going to the SP and the BP or bish. Going above their heads keeps them from sitting on it forever.

I realize that most Catholics accept that women are not priests, but from my observations the Cathoics are way ahead of mormons in this area.

Morg racism has declined somewhat in the last few decades. Homophbia is obvious to most outsiders if not to members. Sexism, alive and well, is mostly overlooked by insiders and outsiders alike. It's much easier to see it in organizations we've never been committed to. Then we can turn that insight toward the morg. Did anyone here leave the mormon church because of how women and girls were

Remember, you can handle it better than you think. Just stay as calm as possible and don't feel like you have to justify your decision or prove that the church isn't what it claims to be. Your feelings, goals, and life plans are the only reasons you need and the two long years do belong to you, no one else.

Perhaps you could skip church more frequently, like once a month or once every six weeks or so? And start dropping hints and seeds of thought for your wife to discuss or ponder. Most women hate polygamy. You might want to mention how this practice bothers you and you could read one of the good books recently written about it, mention the most interesting parts, and leave it for her to pick up.

Never went back after that and haven't been sorry for a minute. Perhaps you might consider taking a six month vacation for church to clear you mind and ponder where you stand?
