yes. I searched a bit deeper and found that. I found one family so far. It is interesting if a bit tedious. Still trying to figure out how to print all the info I want to. Those census takers went from house to house and wrote everything on the form in long hand. Beautiful handwriting. No religion questions that I could find which I find interesting. Thanks for posting the link!

I want to look at the 1950 census that was just released. A google search seems to list the church sites and a couple of other ways that seem to charge for information, with a free trial. Is there any that offer one that is free with no strings attached? Any suggestions?

For those of us who didn't hear about or have forgotten, could you give us an idea of what happened while he was the mission president? Thanks

Not a thing. It appears the war and other events turned out to be the cover that moved this issue not only to the back burner but all the way off the stove.

BOJ, do you know when that Carl's Jr was torn down? I did not realize exactly where this happened for sure until you mentioned this place. I worked very close down there until 2015 when I retired and had a very unpleasant experience at that Carl's Jr.

I have no idea where that temple is located in relation to any major buildings or areas that would likely be bombed or shelled. If it is hit or destroyed, would LDS Inc rebuild it? What about the temple building plan for Russia? I think it would look pretty bad to go forward with that idea.

I watched my classmates go off to war. I worried as my missionary waited for his lottery number. He got a high number and didn't get drafted. His companion got a low number and got sent to war. I later heard about classmates who were wounded in war and some of them died way too soon from the after effects of those wounds. I married one of the veterans of that war. He carried the weight of

I'm just waiting for the day they stick a cross at the top of these steeples once the members are used to them. It seems like a little drip drip drip of the march to traditional looking Christian church buildings. Rusty seems determined to get rid of the peculiar, weird, MORMON description of the religion he now leads. It is almost like he is embarrassed to be leading such an organization th

And remember, we are all going to be in the prime of our life, so we'll all be about the same age. Our grandparents will be our age. Seems awkward.

Maybe that's one of the reasons that Nelson wants everybody to stop using the word "mormon".

I guess with the war and attention on that, Brad will just forget all about the promise to "find time" to meet with the black Student Union members. How convenient. If anyone hears anything about this, please chime in. It is approaching 3 weeks since he made this promise to them, but who's counting? tick. tick. tick.

Day 13. Nothing that I can find even mentions this now. Ignore the problem and hope it goes away? So much terrible and scary news happening now that this little issue is put on the back burner? Anyone who hears about anything or knows any of the Black Student Union Members, please report! tick.tick.tick.

They sound like regular exmo gatherings all over. Popping up like ward houses in city after city. John Dehlin seems to be the driving force. I have to admit that I miss the Exmormon Foundation's annual Exmo Conference, first started in Las Vegas in the late 90's and then moved to Salt Lake City for many years after that. I attended nearly all of them and even helped on the registrations tab

I just read in the local Utah news that TSCC closed the temple in Ukraine. They had already moved the missionaries out "weeks" ago. What surprised me most is that they have a temple in Ukraine.

This happened last Thursday, Feb. 17th. 5 days ago. Brad says he wants to meet with them soon. The clock is ticking, Brad. How soon will your schedule be cleared? Have you had time to practice your answers to their questions? tick.tick.tick.

I just heard from a close friend that a ward in the Glendale area of Phoenix may have had several families leave the church in the last several months. If anyone has any info on this, I'd love to confirm that. I know of one family for certain but the rest of the information is sketchy. TIA update...it is the Belleair ward (I may have spelled that wrong)

https://kutv.com/news/local/byu-black-student-union-members-show-up-to-brad-wilcox-class-hoping-for-dialogue all I can say is that this is not over. I must say that having an organization at BYU like this is a surprise to me. Good for them! the assumption that security needed to be there is disappointing. Anyone want to take a guess how long it will be till Brad can find a time to

The words "Joseph lied" sums it up for me, also. My journey was a bit different from yours, but once I got to the same conclusion, there was no going back. My broken shelf was over the Book of Abraham. My exact thought was "He made that up. And if he made that book up, he made it ALL up!" My never-mo partner hears about some mormon news and I have to explain why mormons

Now, what will BYU or tcojcolds do about this guy? Probably nothing. It's interesting to watch their reaction as this story gains more traction.

I find it interesting that our CBS, ABC, Fox News TV stations and Salt Lake Tribune newspaper all have coverage of this event. KSL (owned by LDS, Inc) and Deseret News (confession: I didn't check) not a peep.

There is a multi-page insert in the Sunday Tribune, a printed edition that is delivered by the mailman on Saturday. This advertising insert is all about the private schools and the public charter schools in Utah. It got me thinking...most of the private schools are run by the Catholic Church. I know of a few charter schools that are very conservative and "patriotic". Why doesn
