For some reason, this line made me laugh. Those dang obnoxious anti-Mormons!!! "...it’s still unsettling that a peaceful message sent by a fellow devotee of the faith is banned, while those obnoxious anti-Mormon "fundamentalists" can use their First Amendment rights to scream at Mormons walking to LDS General Conference, call them names and disrespect their sacred garments

I agree. I wonder if TSCC knew this movie was coming out so they made MtM to counter it?

I was just looking at IMDB.com and noticed this upcoming movie about Warren Jeffs. (It will be in Redbox on Oct 7) Judging by some of the comments about it, I think people don't see much difference between mainstream Mormonism and other splinter groups of Mormonism. I suspect this movie will get more attention (by most people) than TSCC's propaganda film ever will. And of course, this is

I'm sure someone thought they were being very clever when they thought that saying up, but, as a child, I remember it was a concept that scared the shit out of me. Teaching the idea of a literal "devil" being in control after midnight seems like child abuse to me. I still remember the nightmares.

This may be the one of Washington, it seems to be everywhere. It's called The Prayer at Valley Forge by Arnold Friberg. http://www.amazon.com/Friberg-Gallery-Textured-Mahogany-Washington/dp/B0058VWPLI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348515306&sr=8-1&keywords=Prayer+at+Valley+Forges

I see, so, you're saying Steve is a closeted theist. Interesting theory, but I've never read any of his posts that would lead me to that conclusion. Does this mean you're a "believer". If so, is it possible you are projecting your beliefs onto him? Or, maybe angered that he points out the hypocrisy in the Bible?

As there are many on this board that still believe in the Bible, maybe Steve is just pointing out the hypocrisy. If you don't like his posts no one is forcing you to read them.

I like the idea of innocent until proven guilty. If, indeed, he is guilty of these crimes, then he is deserving of punishment. Has the judge and jury decided? Or has everyone just made up their minds whether it's true or not?

Wouldn't a "true" prophet of God have simply invited the man in and healed his illness using his magical priesthood powers? Or, if he was possessed, just cast those pesky demons into some nearby swine? (I'm sure Mr. Packer would have sufficed) Seems like he missed his opportunity.

Then you would be a bad Mormon. When you drink the koolaid, it makes lots of sense in a twisted way.

If you're in your 40's and your drive isn't what it used to be, seriously, you should see a doctor. Your testosterone levels may be low (or could be other issues). This is a symptom of a health problem you shouldn't ignore.

With all the concern about image that TSCC has, it's surprising to me that he would make public his comments and leave them open for others to comment on without moderating said comments for proper standards. I'm not sure why he would do that. Perhaps he's so full of himself that he thinks no one would dare disagree? Or, maybe he is simply so naive about the internet that he doesn't realiz

People like me?? Who said anything about criminal trespass? It's not illegal to look in a phone book (or any other public record) to find someone. If you want to press charges for someone knocking on your door, good luck with that. My point is that if you resign from an organization, they tend to have less reason to "stalk" you. And, if you have resigned and they continue t

The TBM answer to that one is "we don't need to know that for our salvation", or "answers to all the mysteries will be revealed in the next life".

You are correct here, Richard Foxe, in that I didn't bother to research the source of the quote. This particular quote does seem to fall in the spurious category, and, indeed, there are many other misquotes all over the internet. Thank you for reminding me to look up quotes before posting them. Regardless of the origin, I posted this quote because it agrees with my view of religions in gener

That was the running joke in our clerks office, "what are they gonna do, fire us?" lol Yeah, when they came out with that list to check off, including the one on screen in MLS saying the bishop knew about it, I just checked yes and sent them back.

If you resign, and they still stalk you, then you have legal recourse. As long as you are a member, they will continue to seek you out by whatever means necessary.
