This link showed up on my Facebook feed. The overall message seems to be: You failed, but hey, you have the rest of your life to redeem yourself. Just become a lifetime missionary and bear the burden of guilt forever!!! http://www.thereturnedmissionary.com/8-powerful-reminders-for-missionaries-who-come-home-early/#fn-1675-1 So, I have a question: Which is worse for judgment from other memb

Seems mighty suspicious that the essays appeared around the time Tom Phillips began his attempts with the UK court. Now that the case is dropped, will we see anymore essays? Will there be a need? My question is: has anyone copied or cloned the original essays? One never knows when a word or phrase may be changed within the text. Plus, the essays could completely be removed from the church's we

I like when science disproves the BoM. Like the fact that horses were not living on the land during BoM time, and suddenly apologists say tapirs were the preferred traveling/hauling animals. Think: Captain Moroni riding a tapir to battle.

Would the following be considered intuition? I decide to catch up with my sister after several months of no contact. I reach for the phone and it starts ringing before I can pick it up. It's my sister calling to "catch up." Were we both feeling the same vibe? Is that a form of intuition? It's fun to tell these kinds of experiences to my TBM mom. She will always choke up and s

It's called HeartSell. Read the third paragraph on the link. Bonneville Communication's trademarked brand of advertising/marketing: HeartSell http://www.bonneville.com/?nid=32

When I was in high school, my friend (Pentecostal) told of a miricle that happened to some of the youth in her religion. Their car had broken down on train tracks and a train was coming. Miraculously, the car rolled up a slight hill just in time to not get hit. My friend said they were pushed by the hand of the lord or angels or some other third thing. Her story caused me great cog dis. Mirac

Be grateful for the blessings you haven't received yet? Does that also mean we should be feeling guilty for the sins we haven't commited yet?

The half-whisper voices are part of the Morg's marketing. Bonneville Communications actually has a trademarked method/product called HeartSell. It's designed to first evoke feeling, and then thought, followed by action. In a nutshell, it is strategic emotional advertising that stimulates response. http://www.bonneville.com/?nid=32 A lot of Mormon-run, Utah-based MLM (multi-leveled marketing)

I remember that picture. It's in the Preach my Gosple manual about half way down the page. http://www.lds.org/manual/preach-my-gospel-a-guide-to-missionary-service/lesson-1-the-message-of-the-restoration-of-the-gospel-of-jesus-christ?lang=eng This is classic, really. Especially since the essay explained a different means of translation.

I just listened to the radio broadcast of Tom Phillips and Tal Bachman. Excellent!!! One thing stuck out to me: the fraud case has been in formation for several months. Is it possible the church was made aware of the soon-to-come UK criminal charges and ordered the essays to be written as a form of damage control? It seems suspicious to me that these essays kind of popped out of nowhere.

Question: What happened to Fanny Alger's baby? He or she would have been living proof that JS didn't just marry multiple women "spiritually" and not for sex. (As my TBM parents insist.)

Anything posted on the Internet can be found by the search engines if keywords are used strategically. Keywords would be a word or phrase that anyone might enter into the search bar of a search engine. Ex: Tom Phillips, LDS prophet summoned, Mormon prophet summoned, UK court summons prophet, LDS church fraud, Mormon church Thomas Monson, mormon fraud, church leader fraud, etc. Look at the hea

Great dream! I think it revealed your true break from the brainwashing and that your deep consciousness has left the church too. It's crazy how the fear and dread of public speaking in Sacrament Meeting can weigh so heavy on the mind. Glad you conquered your fear and found a calming "Who cares?" position.

Redneck Wonderland is right! This is exactly what I did and it worked perfectly. Just say, "Oh, didn't they tell you? We pulled our memberships." This usually catches them off guard and they'll ask, "Why?" So you say, "Because the church isn't what it represents itself to be. Did you know Joseph Smith had thirty-some-odd wives? And that Brigham Young had 50ish wives?"

http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12/23/16114019-idaho-sen-mike-crapo-arrested-for-dui?lite The NBC news article states he is a Mormon at the end of the article. I can already hear my mom saying, They don't ever tell you the religion unless its Mormon, thats because the devil has to use every little opportunity to nitpick at the church, make the world think bad of Mormons. The world is int

What really gets missionaries to listen and think, which is the goal, is to personalize each question. How do you feel about that, Elder? What is your opinion? Doesn't that upset you, Elder? What do you think? These boys lose their identity in the MTC and then live a life, (well, those that actually live the missionary lifestyle,) that perpetuates a drone mentality. "I do as they say beca

Yes, ask about the BOA and the Egyptian writings. This is something that anyone today can identify as being wrong, even missionaries. Tell them that you predict in the not-to-distant future the church will remove the facsimiles from the Book of Abraham because they are tired of trying to explain away why Jo Smith got it wrong.

Ask the Elders about their devotion to the prophet. Do they believe he speaks to God? Do they believe the prophet would ever lead them astray? Do they believe God would remove the prophet before he ever led them astray? Then ask them, "If the prophet asked you to kill yourself, would you do it?" They'll say, "He would never ask that." You say, "Hypothetically speaking, of

Q: Do you believe the church will ever change its standing on gays holding the priesthood, Elder? Q: Same question but insert "women" Their answer might sound something like this, "The Lord is in charge of his church here on earth and whatever he decides, we'll follow." If it does, bring it back to them individually by saying, "Elder, you didn't answer my question.

I tried to copy and paste the actual comment but it didn't pass because of a banned word. In a nutshell, a commentor named 'Truth' is defending Mormonism and he states his take on Gays and Lesbians and how they are like Muslim extremists. http://management.fortune.cnn.com/2012/10/26/nu-skin-short-sellers/ Truth's post is still on the first page of comments.
