If you scroll down to this page: http://www.grayfieldoptical.com/medical.html to the video section, there are some live action sequences of cell division and the blood cell immune system in action. I thought these were just amazing, and quick to watch at maybe a minute each. The way life works is simply over the top, whether or not you believe in a transcendent consciousness behind it.

It's a good thing we live in the 21st century. If we had lived in the 19th century, church leaders would have had many of us assassinated. I didn't know that Joseph and Sydney were so gangster.

Exactly. People like Delhin didn't do anything specifically wrong. In fact, they did a lot right. They went out of their way to help people by filling in the gaps where leadership fell short. But... You mess with the brand, you've got to go.

If you can reduce life to a set of a rules, it's a lot easier to live life as a machine. Robots love '1's and '0's.

So this explains horses, steel and wooden submarines? The only possible way the BoM could be true is if it occurred on another planet.

Does he make horse head bookends? The Pac Man "game over" sound effect should be played at his funeral: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=votpmwC25Ek

Attempted suicide, but straight 16 year old girl. Basically over a pregnancy. She wants to keep the baby, infertile couple in the family wants the baby (apparently a lot) due to the usual Mormon pressures. Even on my most forgiving days, I still don't like religions that kill people. Mormonism kills.

"I guess they were so shocked that I told the truth that they kept promoting me because I was so honest." Were their names "Bob" and "Bob"?

You have a difficult journey ahead of you and the only way to go is forward. You can't go back to the way things used to be because the jig is up. However, we all made it and you will too. The BoA is the easiest thing to let go of. The BoM takes a little more research, but given enough digging you'll find that the BoM can only have been a 19th century fabrication. That's what the forensics tel

Joseph treated his flock like a fox treats his own personal hen house. Brainwashed mobots can't afford to blow their circuits by acknowledging Joe's unique brand of 19th century hedonism. You might as well try to tell a North Korean how their Dear Leader is just a two-bit dictator who never really accomplished anything.

I think summer is looking under the hood: Why are works necessary, not just that they are. To carry it a step further in a very generalized way, grace is of the mind and works are of the heart. It takes both to make a soul. I can't say how compatible that is with Catholicism, but it's a nice sound bite.

Muslim socialism was a great success in Gaddafi's Libya. Under Gaddafi’s rule, Libyans enjoyed not only free health-care and free education, but also free electricity and interest-free loans. This is why Islam must be suppressed. It's a threat to crony capitalism, not you and me. Radical Muslims are just the latest manufactured enemy. The "made for TV" Muslims that the media trots

9075. Re: Cult?
Igor: "Hump? What hump?!" Yes, it's a classic thought control cult. Mormonism retains members by discouraging the development of critical thinking skills and by having members separate themselves from outsiders philosophically into their own Mormon world. They give up their moral identity to the church so they never develop one of their own. Tell me that's not a cult. The impli

Witchcraft doesn't result in a net positive. In order to get something good, you have to do something bad. There aren't many truly bad things you can do (society has already beaten you to most of them) to obtain serious material gain. But even that is temporary because of Karma. It's just really sick sh!t. The earth is awash with spirits of a low vibration, who thrive on low vibration energy.

Chelsea Manning. It's so poetic that the manliest man in the US Army became a woman. Par for the course, I guess.

Maybe he was trying to appeal to the hard core TBMs. The zealots deserve a little validation for all of their tithing dollars. The fact that it was intellectually obscene is beside the point.

Apologies to Dierdorf, but they're all little Eichmanns. I'm not going to sit here and judge people for being pathetic. The GAs have a basic human right to be pathetic. My problem is with the system that requires TSCC to be led by blind guides.

Do missionaries have to convert people? You could treat the thing as a 2-year service project, ignoring all instructions from the MP about proselyting. Spend all day doing charity work. But then, you could do that just as well at home. I don't know why your folks are having a cow. Did you get a girl pregnant? Drop out of college? Total the car? No. You just decided to be honest with yourself.

They looked better on the old analog TVs. Today's digital hi-def lets you see all of the wrinkles. You probably don't want Boyd's face filling your 60" 1080p.

I remember a training exercise where one of our guys scared the crap out of someone. Some long haired hippy dude out hiking in the woods put his hands up and said, "Hey man, don't shoot".

Yes, but Big Tobacco was successfully sued. If you buy a pack of smokes now, you help subsidize the social costs of harming your body. Who subsidizes the social costs of dysfunction brought on by Mormonism? Who pays for your shrink when you learn that TSCC simply cannot be true? Karmic justice will get TSCC in the end, but effective use of the justice system is what leads to social progress

That's some way cool image processing. They perform a 2D FFT on both images, then filter out the low frequencies of Albert and the high frequencies of Marilyn. They combine the spectra and turn the result back into an image with an IFFT. I can look at the image without glasses and see a perfect fuzzy Marilyn. Or, with glasses and see Albert. You could get philosophical about how people see

There's nothing like the conscious connection to the stars to bring out the connection to Oneness. Tree whispering is another way to get there. Pines are especially sociable. Too much hippy dippy?
