I have a great picture of my Dad taken in 1952. He was the white trombonist in a band of 8 or 9. Everyone else was black. Playing in Memphis/Arkansas area. They liked his playing and asked him be a part of the band. He did. He's 93 and still swings.

Lack creativity? I knew a guy who wrote a few books. Mormon guy. In both novels the lead character did some off the wall stuff. In both stories the lead character hit his head on something which altered his personality and explained the strange behavior. Why get into a character’s psychology when you can explain it all with a bump on his head. I could deal with it in his first novel.
