Disgusting, and egocentric. No way can he keep all his wives happy, let alone treat them equally well and feeling loved. (There's always a favorite, or favorites, with the rest merely 'also ran's'.) I tend to hate him, without even knowing anything more about him, as his statistics show him to be selfish, and self-centered. (Any doubt about what I think of him?)

Bringing up Romney's name as a possibility to run for President is so old, it is getting to be older than Romney actually is. IMO, if he thought he could win, he would have put his hat in the ring long ago. He is just too associated with Mormonism (or, his enemies would be sure the public knew about this association and how weird Mormons are, especially with their polygamous background. Be

How many of you were given 3 plates of Christmas home-baked goodies recently, all within 1 week of each other (one, not from a Mormon)? Merry Christmas to you-all.

Good grief! I (a white-skinned Caucasian, whose ancestors are from England) am now confused re.if I--also of RfM kinship--should be associating with the likes of some of the folks who participate on this site.

Did anyone besides me see the photo and news article of Trump shaking hands with a Mormon big wig? It seems someone advised the President that a few minutes of attention with them, could gain him some support.

Posted by: Done & Done: "Love this story.... I've always thought an unadorned, unexplained, naked "No" is the most powerful. The second you add an explanation the "No" is put at risk for becoming a host for the beginnings of parasitical agendas such as Mormon missionaries to bore into your brain. --- So true! The naked 'no' works for whoever asks you to do someth

When even adults can't understand the nonsense that takes place in the temple, how are little eight-year-olds supposed to do so? This is not only nonsense, but disgusting!!

In the L.A. area, there is only one D.I., and it is in a run-down area that is not very safe (but near a Sears store--at that time, anyway). People buzzed around it waiting for it to open, and would swarm inside to get any 'new' good stuff. For the under-glass items, one had to ask for help from a clerk. I noticed that a book in side this case had mildew growing on it. I pointed this out

Two full-bearded Armenian men--who looked just like the Smith-Brothers cough-drop picture--rang my doorbell and wanted me to let them in so that they could explain global warming to me. In that I never open the door without stopping to take a quick look first out my dinning rm. window (which looks out onto my covered porch), I opened this window a couple inches (it has a screen covering it fro

When I posted earlier (above) all was well. Now, since I turned the TV on at 7:00pm-ish, things aren't so good. Horrors---my TV wouldn't work. I think the cable TV electric lines have been adversely effected somewhere in my neighborhood. (The pole which handles these is in my backyard.) I hope all will be back to normal by tomorrow.

Yes, So. Calif. has fires (due to being a dry area, and being dependent on water being brought to it from its above states). Another charm of Calif. are earthquakes. The really "BIG" one has been predicted and overdue for decades (so the scientist warn us). The last one of any significance did real damage to some areas, but (fortunately, for us), all that happened was a bottle of

I'm glad you got to let off some steam. Like has been said, the title "Bishop" puffs up a man's mind to think he knows more than others (instead of less, like he showed after he came across you, cutekitty). His threat of removing the privilege of paying tithing is so off mark, but he doesn't even know it. (In his mind, paying tithing is supposed to protect you from harmful ideas of

I have some ashes in my driveway, but not seriously out of control, and none on my sidewalk. None in the house (as I have central air, and I keep my windows closed). ('m hoping my gardener will hose the rest away, when he comes.) My son in Arleta (near Van Nuys), had to sweep stuff out of his 2-car closed garage, and the driveway in front of it. Thanks for caring...

This appears like the work of a sole operator nut, who thought his life was so much more valuable than others, that it should be preserved. Well, a very minor (in comparison to a true holocaust) did occur, but no one came forward to proudly beat his breast and tell the world, "I built it". (Who knows?---He may already be dead, or even in jail for having done some other nutty thing

During my five years of being a Rel. Soc. president, I experienced some unusual things. I shall record two of them, below. 1. I went to visit a very ill woman in our ward, who was in the hospital. As she appeared to be asleep, and because I had heard that one's hearing is the last thing that 'goes', I took her hand and began to talk to her. Upon doing so, she awakened, and told me how embar

Well, I don't know how much this fits, but: When I was the R.S. president, I was often required to go to a non-active women's home. She like to pretend that she was only inactive due to her family's problems (of which there were many). . She had a bed-ridden mother, who regualary reported that her deceased husband slept in the bed next to her, every night. . She told me her husband ha

An interesting thing about J.S's believed sexual misbehavior re. young girls and women, is that next to no one appared to complain (or brag) about these events, even if they had children as a result. It was also said that he preferred to have sexual encounters with married women, as therefore, it could be claimed that the resultant pregnacies were a result of her husband....not ol' Joe.

Such prison's, as I understand it, were created to send troubled, troublesome, children of TB parents, who found they couldn't handle their child, to 'straighten them out'. They are run like boot camps.

Such a ridiculous, ignorant, teaching. Remember the drawings which accompanied this teaching? High black hats were one of the features, such as those worn in the USA's early pilgrims' days.

I consider myself a Christian, and don't need to go to any church to prove myself so. I daily give thanks for all good, and pray "to do likewise". No Jesus statues in my home (and even gave away a small one someone gave me). During my 'active' years in the church, I 'served' in a stake calling of interacting with other religious groups (including those mentioned in previous and

An addendum: The big arguement used to be, 'does one pay a full 10% tithing on one's take-home pay, or of his/her full income (of which one's total earning have already been deducted by income tax, Soc.Sec. required deductions, health insurance etc., funds that one never has access to spend as he/she might wish. Always, at the very busiest and most expensive (for us) month of the year (in Dec., at Christmas time). And, besides, my husband and I made a compromise agreement as to the amount to pay--but then he would 'cave-in' when he submitted 'our' check. By this, I mean paying far more than I thought was plenty for a one-member active family, and submitting it 'in secret', so that I would not see the

Not when I worked for the Bishop's storehouse in San Fernando Valley, Calif. (1975-ish--during the big S.F. earthquake.) The man selected to run this storehouse was an above average good guy and earned a stingy salary, and received stingy benefits. It was considered by the Church that such person--those who worked for the church--were so blessed to have a job in the church, that therefore, t
