Wilcox is tone deaf on at least two counts: He made the comments during Black History Month. And if he's worried that "the whites" had to wait until 1829, then "the blacks" had to wait that long too, PLUS another century and a half. It's definitely the end of an era. When my brother married a mormon back in 1985, UTLM was one of the few real sources (perhaps the only source) for genuine info on mormonism, for Mormons and non-Mormons alike. Before the internet, bookstores and libraries were the hub of information. The Tanners really accomplished great things, IMO.
