And thanks to Briggy for posting this article, the most comprehensive one I've seen so far on the subject of the Cult's secretive temple work done for those who do NOT want it!

“Once you sheeple find out how we REALLY have been spending your tithing & donations and you demand an explanation, we’ll just indignantly point to this little statement on the tithing slip, as though WE are the injured and well-justified party.”

BTW… back when I began questioning things, I, too, wondered why we were expected to stand for GAs & up, if they were indeed “humble servants” of the Lord. I eventually realized that the learned feigning of humble demeanor merely covered up leaders’ true arrogance. As to readers: In the past, exmos might have been the only market. However, with Mormons in the spotlight—and so

May this put irreparable cracks in DW's testimony! and may that man "wake up" and leave as well. TSCC controls by SHAMING its members. What a horrid organization!

He - llo! Surely all exmos have wondered about that question and concluded the following (quoted from the article): “Were it up to me, the time, money and other resources devoted to baptisms like this would be focused more on the problems of the living. Too often we drive by the destitute on our way to do temple work. We search genealogy records for the name of someone not yet baptized,

My close friends and I would never, ever think of dropping in unannounced on one another. We respect boundaries! As to calling and inviting oneself over… no, I can't think when that ever happens either, with my friends. Invitations should be for the OTHER party to come visit the caller!

I especially liked, "If he has time for geneology for the dead, he has time to cook for the living." Good luck as you continue reclaiming your power. Keep us posted!

...since most American GAs are called from the same pool of old Utah Mormon families. A teacher or janitor who won the lottery might suddenly have plenty of money, but still would not be called as a GA.

TBMs are raised and conditioned to see ONLY the Mormon side of anything. Any other view is automatically invalidated. How is it possible to stay friends with someone who automatically judges you as WRONG if you dare to leave the teeny Mormon range of acceptable thoughts and ideas? Welcome to RfM, NewPoster. You will find much more understanding here than with you will with your TBM friends!

It seems to explain, in part, why it can be so challenging for news exmos to shed cult conditioning.

Instead, is there a WOMAN in the church that you feel would be open to what you have to say? Ideally, the RS president; but in any case, someone who would be likely to believe you. Because in the church, mothers, (NOT priesthood leaders!!!) are the members most likely to want to protect their daughters from this kind of abuse. If you found a woman/mom as concerned about this as you are, the

But who would tithe if the leaders were honest about their purpose? Much better to cloak their greed as "HEAVENLY FATHER wants your tithing, and you will be unworthy of his love" (and unworthy of the status being a TR holder gives you) "unless you obediently tithe." Yeah, a deity is in great need of humans' money...

Yet they found THAT shocking? What will they do when they come across faaaaaaaaaar more diversity of people and lifestyles than *your* household has? (not to mention people far more explicit than you were in telling the mishies to get lost.) It is amazing how successfully Mormonism keeps its young men cloistered and ignorant… even in today's world.
