Things on pedestals are highly susceptible to falling off. We see this right now: The Morg is tottering precariously on its pedestal, as truth about its history and doctrine are coming forth and shaking things up!

This is the BEST way of phrasing the invasive, offensive act of necro-dunking I have ever heard! It may even be one that would get through to a Mormon. Mormons are trained to see only one point of view, and to fear and reject all other points of view. Therefore, the sheeple have no practice or experience in allowing themselves to consider anything different from their Mormon indoctrination.

People are waking up. The more they learn about Mormonism, thanks to people like Randy Bott and Helen Radkey, the more they are recognizing how weird and cult-like it is. Meanwhile, the cult leaders keep burying their heads deeper and deeper in the sand… All is well, sheeple! All is well!

It's too late for the spin-masters to stop this one. Thanks to our exmo heroine Helen Radkey, the Truth has triumphed!

"Apostasy "As used here, apostasy refers to members who:.... "... "4. Formally join another church and advocate its teachings. "Priesthood leaders must take disciplinary action against apostates to protect Church members.... "Total inactivity in the Church or attending another church does not constitute apostasy. However, if a member formally joins another churc

Your wife’s “shelf” has fallen down, and whether she realizes it or not, her journey out of the church has begun. Keep in mind, anon today, that everything you discovered about the church over the last 8 years is new to DW. She will need to cry, yell, and read just as you did. And then… her life will be better, your marriage will be better, you two will be much happier, and your

As you point out, if Mormon women woke up and made a mass exodus, who would be left for the self-important priesthood holders to boss around? The house of cards would fall!

It is so interesting in these cases the way that bishops or other TBM interrogators flit from one point to the next, in vain hopes of finding something they can nail the exmo for—or at least, that they can *shame* the exmo for. Their brains just cannot comprehend that the interrogative techniques which are so effective with the sheeple are worthless with wide-awake exmos. The best thing you

ALL of your concerns are well-founded. I had begun the practice of tithing before I ever began looking into the Mormon church; so at the time I joined the Mormon church, tithing was not an issue for me. However, the day came when I asked myself the same questions you did; and I saw nothing Christian or in integrity about their practice! Here's a question to ask yourself, StillSearching:

In John Dehlin’s study (dated 1/30/2012) of over 3000 exmo respondents, here were the percentages regarding educational level: “27% ‘Some College,’ 39% college grad, 21% masters, 10% doctorate." In short, approximately *** 97% *** of those exmos surveyed had “some college” education or more! Yes: We, too, were fooled; but at least, we woke up and left the cult! link to

Tolerating a group's weird religious practices, while those practices are limited to those within the group, is one thing. But when the group extends its creepy practices onto those OUTSIDE the group--and ignores (or gives mere lip service to) all protests against this invasive behavior--it is another matter entirely.
