I assure you, sir, that your daughter is safe. Does she perhaps have a cousin her age?

For those still following this story, I can now reveal the name of the one who uncovered the stone box in my yard. His name was Angel Coronai. He spoke very little English (and I speak very little Spanish), but as we shook hands in the pure sunlight of morning, his face shone with light, and I testify to you that he truly was Angel, for I checked his ID. An hour later, I knew something spe

I regret that I cannot reveal the precise location where I found the plates (though the Dos Equis theory is on the right track). But it matters not, since I have moved them to a hill which I call the Hill Corona, where I often go for silent reflection and rest from the labors of housework.

Yes, there were many other the plates. This was only the first, which was actually the last ... because it was written right to left. Or maybe the plates were upside down. Either way, it fulfills the prophecy that the last shall be first ... thus proving that my account is true and correct, perhaps the most true and correct book on the earth! And it is a living work, for it will surely change as

Well, make of it what you want, but I know what I saw in my beer goggles. All I can tell you is that I reported a bunch of Boloni.

I always wondered about that. I always thought the language of the BOM and D&C sounded forced and unnatural, as if JS was trying too hard. I imagine JS was trying to evoke an official and established tone, so he combined the 17th century language of the oldtimers with some of the KJV language he studied from childhood. There was a lot of colloquial and archaic usage in New York in the ear

Last weekend, the cable guy was digging in the backyard and uncovered a stone box. I went out to take a look and among many strange things discovered a book of ancient workmanship inside. Breaking the seal revealed a set of golden plates covered in squiggly characters. And though I do not recognize them, I am certain they are in the ancient language of Reformed Gypsum. And then I happened t

My heart breaks for you. I'm so sorry about what your parents and foster family did to you. You deserved better than what the world gave you. It sounds like you've found friends who like and accept you for who you are. I hope you can leave all this pain behind and find happiness in your future.

It's awful what corporations will do for profits (or prophets). What you don't know saves them money.

That sounds awful. I can't believe he sent you to a veterinarian. What was he thinking!

Around 1992, a woman I worked with said a guy jumped out and flashed her on rape hill. I asked her what she did, and she said, 'I laughed and told him to come back when he had more to offer.'

It's possible the mission doctor was giving me chelation drugs in the hospital. The doc wouldn't tell me what the IVs were, except to call them 'vitamins.' A few of them were actually vitamins (I recognized some like riboflavina, tiamina). But others changed almost every day and had very complicated chemical names. One of the meds almost killed me. If so, it would be consistent with my theory

The thing is, these symptoms weren't especially unique. Many members and residents in the area did have it that bad, and many of them had to move away. Skin spots and skin cancers started appearing by their 20s. I never met any resident over 30 who didn't have them. Also, maybe I was unclear, but other missionaries experienced headaches, cloudy vision, fatigue and parasthesia. One missionary

I've been wanting to tell my mission story for a while, but there's so much to say I'm only now putting it all down in words. The short version is that I have lifelong nerve damage resulting from arsenic and heavy metal poisoning from my mission in Chile. If I had followed my mission president's 'inspired counsel,' I believe I would have died there. My family eventually got me out on a medical

The LDS church taught you to be kind, gentle and submissive ... not to stand up for yourself. I would suggest rehearsing what you're going to say and practice closing the door. It worked for me. Tell them you are not interested and not to come back. Remember, this is your home and they are not invited.
