Congrats Ron! Children learn what they live! My kids have not been to regular either. I just don't want my kids thinking I'm flaky. My youngest talks about Primary all the time and my 8 year old loves scouts. He's planning a baptism. I really don't know what to do about this.

Tall Man,Short Hair That is a grand idea. VDay is too commercialized anyway. We cook a nice meal, have a dessert and give a lot of love to one another. We make our own valentines for the kiddos, and try not to buy into the whole thing too much. Heck, everyday is VDay in my house :)

msmom, Hello! So how long ago did you resign and how long were you active? Just curious. Are you going to another church? I'm contemplating a lot of things right now. I"m at a very important crossroads in my life. I do believe in God and Jesus and of course the Holy Spirit, I'm just not sure I really want anything to do with religion at this point.

Aw beautiful! Ex-sis Sinfulshoulders. Dig your name btw. I love the feeling of bare shoulders. Especially on a summer day. What kind of dog might Ping Pong be? We have a german shephard, 2 siamese kitties and 4 crazy miniature humandoids - actually 1 is bigger than me :)

Hello Torturednevermo! Scotch is a bit strong. I think there should come a warning with it. "Dont scotch and type!" lol I'm just playing. Its always fun to be able to speak freely :) I'm almost done with my bottle of $3 Moscato. Very tasty! What are you watching tonight?

Hi! I'm not sure if any of you have read my bio. But I was converted about 5 years ago. However, I didn't exactly fall for the whole BOM thing (never read it) Anyway I'd like to say Hello to everyone. I'm spending this Friday evening on here as my family decided to have a Friday the 13th Marathon, and frankly Jason scares the bananas out of me. I'm already having enough nightmares, really don'

So, I have 4 kids 2 in mutual and 2 in primary. I really loved the family aspect of the tssc. However, the control was a bit much. I allow my children to choose for themselves, then learn from their choices. Free will, Isn't that the point? How do we go about our new lives without our kids thinking we are completely wacko? How did or are you going through this?

Ok, I'm a bit confused. Are we believing that Columbus really was an Instrument of God? If so, I don't agree. This was the sole reason I began to question everything. It seems as though Mormonism likes everything all wrapped up in a pretty perfect bow. Everything is beautiful and good and America is perfect. We all chose our lives, our parents, etc. Thats easy to say when you have a good l

I just recently started going back. My 8 year old wants to be baptized. I stopped going, making excuses of being sick etc. In July, after our primary teacher praised good ol Chris Columbus. I've had my doubts about the legitimacy of the church, but have mostly kept them to myself. Afraid to voice my concerns. I've just recently voiced them to my husband. He believes the church is true. He said t

I can understand the familiarity factor, I am a convert and I'm finding it hard to break completely free. For example, we had missionaries over for dinner tonight. I asked questions instead of them asking. I almost felt sorry for them. My kids don't know that I have made a decision to leave. My husband tells me to wait it out. I want to do what's best for my family, but life is also very ve

I was not trying to offend anyone. I was just curious. The cycle has begun in my home. My husband does not see what I see. I want to be prepared for what may come.

I'm wondering about those who know that tssc is not the truth, yet continue to stay. Why don't you just leave? Stop going, change your phone number, etc. Is it really a dangerous thing to do?

This is disgusting. As a parent this is the last thing you would expect when allowing your children to take part in church activities.

I was a convert, I was baptized when I was 31. I was married before. I wanted so much to be the perfect Mormon wife and mother. I didn't even look at all the warning signs. I put on my garments and was very confused about those too. I couldn't ask any questions like what do you do with your bra? over, under? Should I be wearing a white bra? Because most of mine are colored, and lace? Doe

Lucky for me, my LDS friends are pretty quiet. I've been un-friended by most of them thanks to my ProChoice, Pro-Hemp (not even Marijuana) Dark photography and Anti-government/ big brother posts. Oh and Dont forget beach pics with a......gasp.. bikini. WHaaaat? The ones I do still have, I believe either have unfollowed me, don't pay attention, or actually have an open mind to things other tha

It took me a while to accept baptism. I had discussions for about 4 months. For me, it seemed rushed, but I guess, the usual is one discusssion, then an invite. I saw that happen myself. I went with the sisters to meet with an investigator that had been dodging them. They finally got in the door. They talked, literally for like 10 minutes. Showed a booklet to him like they were talking to c

yeah, I thought that was weird too. It was very hard to not discuss any of it with my husband afterward. I was left with so many questions and was far more confused than ever. I wanted answers and all I got was more questions. I had a migraine my first time through the temple. I blamed that for not having any understanding of what just happened.

My huband's family is mormon, but the Jack type. We had both been married before. His ex wife was converted and soon became inactive. I told him I would never convert. My ex husband was non-denomination and that was a Circus, I had always believed in God felt a very strong connection to him. Until I was converted 5 years ago. Myself,my two children and my step son were baptized together. O
