I wanted to update the board regarding a post that is closed regarding my LinkedIn profile being read by a church security employee. After some in depth checking and speaking to some colleaugues I DO NOT believe it was part of an official act of church security. On the original thread, Sparky talked about the possible "rabbit holes" that LinkedIn could take you down and after speaking to friends and reading more about LinkedIn I believe that to be the case now.

My apologies to the board but I couldn't wrap my mind around why my profile be accessed. The guy may be looking for different opportunities and connections and I feel bad for being paranoid. Besides, I'm just "not that big of a fish" despite my delusions of grandeur. :) I hope to only deal with facts in the future and I'll pause before jumping to conclusions...even with the mormon church and it's actions. I'm just a little sensitive after believing something for a lifetime and having that belief system collapse. Apologies to all.

Thanks for the update. Many of us have been there, remember...even paranoids have enemies :)

I had a random person who works as the Application SYstems administrator at BYU look at my linkedin profile. It was weird because we had nobody in common and are in totally different types of fields. He's very educated and has tons of marketable skills. I got a bs(ass in bull sh-t) degree at BYU and have worked in a dead-end job for 5 years.

Thanks for the update. You'll settle down and not leap at shadows~! Just takes awhile!
Like the old adage: "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"!
You're fine.
I just like lisping when I say: orthus! :-)

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not really out to get you.

DB I understand you. I once worked at Ricks College and was not impressed with the way that the President treated others and was an untouchable. I did like your bishop MB's father though when he was president at Ricks College. I hope you continue on your path of discovery and open mindedness.
