Near Salt Lake City, one of, if not the most classified military base in the nation, where radiological and chemical weapons are tested routinely. Planes have been seen to disappear in the sky (phantom jets and stealth bombers,) over the government land. They've been observed "stopping on a dime" in mid-air, and then shooting straight up in the sky, etc.

Area 52 is the "go to" place from Area 51, where super secret projects are ongoing.

In November 2009 an unidentified ball of fire flying across North America landed in Area 52. Was this a coincidence? Or a forced crash land for alien technology or advanced weaponry?

Why Dugway? Why near Salt Lake City? Is there a reason why government officials would put such a highly secretive military base in the center of Utah? Might it be because of the devoted, patriotic worker pool available to the government from the ranks of Mormon, Inc?

Because that would make its location the perfect fit for "Area 52."

When BY climbed down from his wagon, looked out over the valley, and said, "This is the place," what he really meant was, "Nobody will bother us in a crap hole like this."

The US government thought the same thing about Dugway. Don't look for a conspiracy where there ain't one.

Brigham Young was misquoted. What he really said was, "This is a disgrace! Drive on!" Of course, the Morg apologetics fixed the quotation.

Yeah, and there's also a nuclear waste dump as well as a chemical weapons depot and incinerator there. The US government has always regarded Utah as a dumping ground. And, Utah politicians and businessmen looking to make a quick buck, will always put profits over citizens. Welcome to Zion.

Negative, there are no chemical weapon incinerators or nuclear waste dump at Dugway. The incinerator was part of Deseret Chemical Depot forty miles away, that chemical weapon stockpile was disposed of and the incinerator dismantled. The nuclear waste dump was proposed by the nearby Goshute Indian tribe to be located on tribal land but was defeated by then Governor Leavitt. There is,seventy miles to the west,a private company,Clear Harbors, that has a low level hazardous waste facility.

Chemical weapons are tested at Dugway but mostly it is used to test aircraft and other conventional weapons and provide training space for special operations units. The Navy tests many different rockets and deck weapons there.

At one time it was a potential emergency landing site for the space shuttle.

It is used for developing Anthrax but that is temporarily on hold following the recent scandal there involving mishandling of Anthrax.

During the eighties and nineties it was used as part of Desert Phase training for the U.S. Army Ranger School.

I recently retired as an employee from there. I spent many years as both a soldier and civilian employee there. Yes, it is secretive but most of what people think goes on there is incorrect.

I was talking about the area. Tooele County has Dugway, the Chemical Depot (still there-just can't send ship anthrax all over the place anymore) and EnergySolutions waste dump, where the US Government and other states ship nuclear waste to be buried. All in Tooele County. It's an active nuclear waste site. They tried to take nuke waste from Italy but the courts blocked them from doing so. Utah mormon politicians would sell their grandmothers to make a quick buck, no matter the ramifications to future generations.

By the way, this is a national security secret of the highest classification.

If you dare share this information with anyone without explicit approval from the Head Winged Angel Alien, you will be kidnapped in the middle of the night by extraterrestrials, transported to their giant galactic city that--according to government-funded supermarket tabloids--zips around our galaxy at supersonic speed rescuing stranded cosmonauts as well as orbits around the sun, and will never be heard from again.

Don't say you haven't been warned.

March 1968, 6,249 sheep died in Skull Valley, an area nearly thirty miles from Dugway's testing sites. When examined, the sheep were found to have been poisoned by an organophosphate chemical. The sickening of the sheep, known as the Dugway sheep incident, coincided with several open-air tests of the nerve agent VX at Dugway.

The reason that it is there is because of it's isolation, it was built during the forties to test bombs being developed against Japan and Germany. It was slated for closure during the eighties and nineties but the military decided its remoteness and lack of public access was ideal for weapon testing.

Dugway employs around 2000 people, a few are local Mormons but most are career Army employees that transfer temporarily from Maryland and other Army posts. Many also are young Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who come from outside Utah looking for a foot in the door of government employment. Very few Mormons are there and The local Mormon ward house is barely in existence. Dugway High School has a small seminary but the Army only lets them use an Army issued trailer and they call it the "Religious Instruction Building".

"Utah witness recounts UFO encounter near military base
Posted by: Roger Marsh May 5, 2016 0

A Utah witness at Dugway recalled a UFO incident from 1992 when he and two friends approached an object hovering 20 feet over the roadway, according to testimony in Case 75923 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

Three witnesses came upon a UFO hovering just 20 feet over the roadway near Dugway, Utah, in 1992. Pictured: Dugway Proving Ground. (Credit: Google)

The reporting witness and two friends were invited by a mutual friend to go bowling on June 15, 1992.

“She was living with her grandparents in Dugway on the military base,” the witness stated.“We started driving out towards Dugway in late afternoon. Just before dark we crossed Johnson pass, which is a small mountain pass just before a long straight road leading up to the army base.”

The witness was riding with two friends.

“I was in the front passenger seat. My friend Jeremy was driving. And Ryan was in the back seat of the car.”

The group noticed something ahead of them in the roadway.

“As we dropped down out of the pass and started across the small valley we noticed something stretched across the road. As we came within about half a mile from the object we discussed what we each thought it looked like.”

As the witnesses approached the UFO, it changed shape and moved quickly away. (Credit: Google)

The three tried to guess what they were seeing.

“I said, ‘It looks like a big piece of plastic or a parachute because the edges of the object were kind of fluttering around on the edges, but it can’t be because it’s standing about 20 feet high off the road.’ It also had a white light that was either coming from behind or from inside of the object. I didn’t see any direct light. It seemed to be all indirect.”

The three continued to drive toward the object.

“When we reached a distance of about 100 yards, my friend slowed down and stopped the car. Just as we opened the doors, the object changed shape! It quickly changed into a cone shape. The white light brightened and then streaked straight up with a popping sound scattering dirt and rocks out from the area. The craft left our sight almost instantly and didn’t return. Both of my friends saw all of these things as well. We all kind of talked about what had happened after that, but never since!”

"The white light brightened and then streaked straight up with a popping sound scattering dirt and rocks out from the area."

That description sounds like rocket or jet engine technology.....the thrust of the engine scatters the rocks. Very terrestrial stuff.

If they described rocks being sucked up into the air behind it, that would suggest a vacuum was created as it left, hence no engine thrust, and possibly a technology not of this earth.

I'm leaning toward engine thrust myself.

"The main mission of Dugway is to test biological and chemical weapons for the Army. To do so they are using a chunk of Utah the size of Rhode Island. There are so many civilian contractors and military personnel stationed there that Dugway has its own elementary school, high school and Subway restaurant. They are currently hiring for all sorts of positions. On the surface it doesn’t appear suspicious.

However, Dugway is divided into two parts. The Army operates the northern portion which houses most of the residents. The southeast portion is operated by the Air Force with a runway large enough to land an aircraft the size of the space shuttle. This portion isn’t mentioned on Dugway’s website. This area has been developed and expanded since 2004 with an increased security buildup. The additional infrastructure has lead uFologists to conclude that this is a new site where the government is testing secret military and UFO technology.

Researching the claims of the conspiracy theorists, I am a natural skeptic. But for the purposes of understanding Dugway I felt inclined to listen to what the ET believers and conspiracy theorists have to say.

Dr. Steven M. Greer is a leading uFologist. He says he gave up a $400,000 per year career in medicine to make contact with extraterrestrials and expose what he found was a giant cover-up by the US government dating back to the late 1940s. Greer, along with his followers, believe that a UFO indeed crash landed in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. Federal officers confiscated the remains of the ETs, who were still alive, as well as their flying saucer and medical scanning technology. According to Greer the U.S secret “black box” program has been working in conjunction with Lockheed Martin to reverse-engineer the alien technology.

Greer says the U.S. secret program possesses technology to travel deep into outer space. These aircraft are so powerful and able to produce so much energy and thrust that they make our Space Shuttle Program appear like a Cub Scout project. It sounds like a nice story to sell books, but what evidence exists to support these wild claims?

The most convincing evidence Greer points at is that Lockheed Martin’s (one of the largest defense contractors in the world) former CEO Dr. Ben Rich, admitted on his deathbed that for years he had been working with a secret military operation developing anti-gravity technology and flying saucers powerful enough to “take E.T. home.” Rich said,

“We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects, and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.” Dr. Rich admitted that earlier in his career he agreed that the public should not know about these secret programs. Late in his life he concluded that the “multinational, corporate board of directors who were over this secret program posed more of a potential threat to the US than ETs or the technology they were developing.”

As I opened this Pandora’s Box, what I initially believed to be completely absurd, sounded more plausible. More key witnesses have come forward and backed Dr. Greer’s and Dr. Rich’s claims.

Don Phillips, another Lockheed Engineer, corroborates that they have developed flying saucer technology. Phillips adds, “These UFOs were huge and they would just come to a stop and do a 60 degree, 45 degree, 10 degree turn, and then immediately reverse this action.” Phillips also says that indeed earlier scientists confiscated an aircraft that crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico and reverse engineered the technology.

Another account which adds credibility to the cover up that these scientists claim is found in one of the highest ranking military officials in the country. When Edgar Mitchell, the former chief of intelligence for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, requested a briefing on the secret UFO programs that were in place, he was denied this briefing based on a “need-to-know basis.” Furious after this rejection, Mitchell went on the record for a CNN interview in 2008 and said that indeed he was told, “Sorry Admiral, but you don’t have the need to know. Goodbye.”

How is this all connected with Dugway Proving Ground? If they were still developing this technology and testing they would need a massive amount of security to keep these operations private.

Dugway’s airfield is surrounded on three sides by mountains. Anyone caught attempting to climb these mountains with a vehicle and approach Dugway’s southern border will be stopped by ground patrol or Apache helicopters.

The History Channel recently produced a program called UFO Hunters that made attempts to better understand what is happening at Dugway. In this program they interviewed some local Utahns.

A Utah man know as Alien Dave says he has seen a jet vanish into thin air. And he says he has watched a convoy of Humvees that were traveling along a road disappear into a massive subterranean fortress built into the side of the mountain. He also personally witnessed a laser beam launch high into outer-space. This beam was so powerful it’s electro-magnetic discharge left the air smelling of ozone and his hair standing on end.

Besides Dave’s claims, a former police officer on the Goshute Reservation has seen more. He watched a flying saucer travel while on a desolate road in the west desert. After he flashed a light beam onto the UFO, the UFO reacted by speeding up and over a mountain range until it was out of sight in seconds – moving faster than any current plane could travel. Later, two fighter jets followed the flying saucer’s flight path.

Allegedly this technology is in the hands of our government which doesn’t want to release it because of the disruptive effects it would have on our current economy. It would eliminate all need for fossil – fuel based energy and transportation. According to Dr. Greer, “elimination” is the problem. Anti-gravity technology can harness the power of the fabric of space. There is enough power in each square millimeter of space to solve all of the world’s energy needs. We have this technology, but if it were disseminated to the public, corporate empires would topple. The internal combustion engine would become a museum piece and fossil fuel use would become obsolete. “The powers that be don’t want to see this happen. Which is why even the President of the United States doesn’t have access to make any decisions on these programs and technology.”

Greer has partnered on a documentary film called The Sirus Project that outlines his case: that a shadow government exists in the United States where trillions of dollars has been funneled over the years, which falls outside of the influence of the DOD. or any branch of the US military.

Greer’s case is compelling. Just prior to the 9/11 attack on the US, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld said in a press conference that he had found a $2.3 trillion gap in funding, 25% of the military’s budget. These funds were never accounted for in the military’s defence budget. According to Greer, untracked, unaccountable military funding like this has been going on for years. This became acceptable during WWII and the Cold War era when secret funding was funneled to projects such as the Manhattan Project. But when the military chose to use their technology to end World War II, they chose to keep other elements secret and remain private—even out of the jurisdiction of the President. Jimmy Carter attempted to gain clearance to understand this project and was told that his security clearance wasn’t high enough to be allowed a briefing on the U.S’s extra-terrestrial history and secret programs."

"Steven M. Greer is a leading ufologist. He says he gave up a $400,000 per year career in medicine to make contact with extraterrestrials . . . .

"Greer believes that extraterrestrials are making contact with humans and have been doing so for years. . . . 'They could completely wipe our entire planet out--game, set, match, point--in a heartbeat. . . . But they choose to communicate with us peacefully.' Greer adds, 'If there is a battle it will be initiated by the secret military industrial complex. We will be the aggressors.' Greer’s Disclosure Project has now surpassed $250 K from Kickstarter funding aims to make the public aware of this massive cover-up.

"Should we accept all of this? I’m not ready to accept all of it. Greer charges $650 to have fellow Ufologists come to his farm and communicate with ETs. And he stands to greatly benefit from book sales and the potential film."

Thanks, Shummy.

That sounds interesting, and not steeped in fiction.

Conspiracy theories aside, if there were nothing to hide besides military secrets as to what goes on @ Dugway, then why would presidents, CIA chiefs, and Pentagon chiefs-of-staff not be given the top security clearances to know what really goes on there?

With the hundreds of miles of facility range @ Area 52, what field one group works in likely has nothing to do with the other top secret programs there, as at other military bases around the country. Or for that matter, the world.

Of course, Area 51 and UFO related things are listed, like The Black Mailbox where messages are left for UFOlogists and aliens. My mocking reply to those who obsess over Area 51 is that they're looking in the wrong place. Once word got out about Area 51 everything was moved to Area 52. That is not true. You can drink the water out there, it doesn't taste good though. They don't send you to HAFB for drinking it.

Dugway has been a major part of my life. It has nothing to do with aliens. Just limited chemical and conventional weapon testing, Drone and aircraft testing and a range for bombing practice and troop training.

I didn't read your thread on "He walked the Americas." No interest. Nor does it have anything more to do with Mormonism than Dugway does.

While Dugway being close to Salt Lake City, the Mormon capitol, is at least close in proximity and benefits from Mormonism's blind devotion to government.

"Dugway declassified: A rare look at the mysterious Utah site’s experiments, then and now
POSTED 9:41 PM, MAY 12, 2016, BY BEN WINSLOW, UPDATED AT 02:35PM, MAY 13, 2016

DUGWAY, Utah -- Newly released public records are shedding light on one of the state's most mysterious places.

The U.S. Army recently released logs of thousands of experiments conducted at Dugway Proving Ground dating back to the Cold War, providing a glimpse at what the highly secure testing facility has been up to.

"A lot of far out research, the James Bond-ey sort of stuff that we see," said MuckRock.com founder Michael Morisy, who obtained the 1960s-era records under Freedom of Information Act requests. "A lot of that stuff has never been made public."

Some military tests involved human exposure to biological and chemical agents, and others had intriguing titles like:

"The Consequences of Ingestion by Man of Real and Simulated Fallout"
Cluster bombs
Soil spores
"Operation Night Train"
Weteye Chemical Bomb
Birds to Tularemia
"Big Jack"
"Elk Hunt"
"Autumn Gold"
"Data report for DORK"
Incapacitating Darts
Entomological Munitions
With a little more digging, Morisy said "entomological munitions" revealed an experiment conducted at Dugway called "Operation Bellwether" which appears to study weaponized mosquitos.

"They loaded up mosquitos with what they said was an inert disease, an inert bacteria, an inert virus and actually released that on civilian populations in the United States," he said....

Dugway was created during World War II with a mission to test biological and chemical weapons, as well as defenses against them. The highly secure military facility is about 800,000 acres -- roughly the size of Rhode Island. Add in the ground and airspace for the neighboring Utah Test & Training Range, it's about the size of Maryland.

"Throughout the history of Dugway, it has evolved to what we currently do which is defensive chemical, biological and some radiological and explosive defense materials to ensure they meet war fighter specifications," Ryan Harris, the director of Dugway's West Desert Test Center, said in a recent interview with FOX 13.

A West Desert watchdog group said other tests involved experimentation on soldiers, some of which the military would not admit to for years. He said the test logs released have some titles that "raise some red flags."

"Things have changed since then, but there is that long legacy of human experimentation, as well as other questionable activities by the U.S. Army at Dugway Proving Ground," said Steve Erickson with the Citizens Education Project.""

Does anyone here know about the infected mosquitoes being unleashed on the US civilian population?

Whiskeytango?

That's the underbelly of the beast that's Dugway. And experimentation on soldiers, like WTF? Stories like this are most likely just the tip of the iceberg.

I didn't see anything in that article referencing Dugway expressly. What it looks like happened at Dugway was experimentation with infectious mosquitoes turned loose on civilian populations right here in the USA. Not some way to stem the tide of mosquitoes, but rather to use them as a weapon against the masses.

The US Army has an interest in this for what, exactly? Other than targeting our own population. It wasn't to wage war with the enemy, when we *were* the enemy.

Yeah, that stuff is true. Plus they have done a few other things that are not very good that are not listed.

They did LOTS of chemical weapon testing out there on animals up until the seventies.

There is a place on the western boundary of Dugway called the goat graveyard. They would chain hundreds of goats to small posts that look a lot like the posts at a drive in movie. They would then gas them with nerve gas and film the results. I have seen the films when I was in the Army.

During the Cold War nefarious experiments were done out there and at times shit got crazy. Not so much anymore. The controlled airspace and isolation plus the huge runway have made it more attractive to testing aircraft and training special warfare units.

I have never seen or heard of anything remotely extraterrestrial going on there. It is secretive and more so than other military posts, but nothing really that far out anymore.

That's crazy what they've gotten away with in the name of *defense.* Defense of what, exactly?

The Military Industrial Complex? Those experiments weren't defense of the population they're charged with defending.

When I lived in the San Francisco area late 70's to finish high school, it was well known then that the US government had recently done an experiment on the residents of San Francisco with acid rain.

During the years I lived there we were having a drought. Wonder if there's a connection between the drought and the acid rain that preceded it?

Here's a good article on some of the experiments that were conducted on American citizens, unbeknownst to them up through the 1970's. Creepy what goes on in the name of classified military operations ....

Near the end of article is this:

"Does Secret Medical Experimentation Continue?

To this day there are no adequate safeguards to protect people from secret government experimentation. Since the mid-1970s we have witnessed the spectacular rise of genetic engineering and molecular biology, as well as the concomitant outbreak of new and mysterious diseases like AIDS, chronic fatigue syndrome, the peculiar “Four Corners” lung disease discovered on Navajo land, and the appearance of unprecedented “emerging” viruses never before seen on the planet.

Investigators linking the possible origin of these diseases to the dangerous engineering of new microbes are often dismissed as paranoids and crackpots. The mysterious Persian Gulf War syndrome is yet another recent illness clouded in military and biologic secrecy, with the origin and cause still debated and the medical records of sick veterans often “lost” or otherwise unavailable. Not surprisingly, the same government institutions that funded the radiation experiments now largely control the research, the funding, and the cover stories pertaining to all these new diseases and viruses.

What is clear from studying the Committee’s Final Report is that the medical and scientific professions collaborated with the government and the military to abuse and harm US citizens. In the process, the nuclear establishment literally got away with murder. And there is simply no end to the secrets that still emerge from the Cold War years that began 58 years ago with the Manhattan Project....

For over twenty years the law allowed the US Department of Defense (DoD) to use Americans as “guinea pigs.” This law (the US code annotated Title 50, Chapter 32, Section 1520, dated 30 July, 1977) remained on the books until it was repealed under public pressure in 1998. The new and revised bill prohibits the DoD from conducting tests and experiments on humans, but allows “exceptions.” One of the exceptions is that a test or experiment can be carried out for “any peaceful purpose that is related to a medical, therapeutic, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, or research activity.” Thus, the 1998 law has obvious loopholes which allow secret testing to continue. For details on the restrictions (and exceptions) for human testing for chemical and biological agents, consult the Gulf War Vets website at http//www.gulfwarvets.com/1520a.htm.
Unethical and dangerous experimentation undoubtedly continues in secret up to the present time, ostensibly under the guise of “national security.” Thus, it would seem prudent for patients to think twice before signing-up for government-sponsored medical studies, particularly at leading medical institutions.
Enlightened patients might also view doctors (and scientists) with a healthy dose of skepticism, and a touch of paranoia.
As weird as all this sounds, it could save your life!"

area 51 is situated on. Time to get educated in the REAL world, Benson. Back to the drawing board ye go!

"Why is the secret military base called "Area 51?" Why not Area 52, or 127?
June 10, 2011 by: Dictionary.com
Located on a remote portion of land along the southern shore of Groom Lake, approximately eighty-three miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, is a top secret U.S. military installation known as Area 51. Since its construction in 1955, a numerical quandary has left many a conspiracy theorist scratching their head and wondering, “What exactly does the ’51′ in Area 51 refer to?” The answer has less to do with alien autopsies than with mundane land surveying.

A cryptonym is a secret name or code word that usually relates to a classified military operation. Most notably, the Central Intelligence Agency, or CIA, has used code names to reference people, operations and other agencies since it was established in 1947. Hoping to attract workers to the base to begin testing on the new U-2 Spy Plane, Area 51 was originally named Paradise Ranch. However, this blissful alias soon gave way to its more famous, cryptic code name.

The number 51 refers to the grid, or parcel of land, that the secret military base sits on. Maps dating back to the 1950s mark the area of land surrounding Groom Lake, approximately 6 miles north-to-south by 10 miles east-to-west, as Area 51. A small nuclear testing site located just to the north is called Area 13 – also named for the stretch of land it occupies. So the numeral does not designate the 51st flying saucer found in Nevada, nor anything else related to extraterrestrials."

Don't want no silly drawing by you.

Even Leonard Nimoy didn't lose his sense of childlike wonder in the Universe. Or for that matter, God.

When he gave the Vulcan sign on Star Trek he was really giving his audience the Aaronic Priesthood blessing.

Because that's what kind of a guy he was.

Rest his soul.

You do that, and you'll get run over when not looking both ways before crossing the street.

For the record, I think the phrase "ufologist" is hysterical, much like "spiritist".

Many scientists, in fact. Including a Nobel physicist.

I don't attack people because they have different views than I do, unlike you do.

Neither does science.

You have much to learn, Benson.

Which reminds me, when was the last time you saw that gigantic galactic city zooming through space, as you referenced it from those supermarket tabloids?

It's what you use when you're losing to bolster your claims that you have one.

The reality is you take everything dead serious.

My thread was about a military site. Not about UFO's, other than what's been written about their association w/Area 52.

I'm more genuinely interested in the secrecy of the military goings on there.

You, in your void of reading comprehension, fail to understand the simplest use of language.

You attack me personally over and over in my threads. There is no debate here.
