KSL correctly claims that they cut away all the time and that some groups feel slighted.
That said, they have a choice as to when they make a cut. I doubt they make the cuts on the fly or a whim. There was no contractual obligation to show an advertisement at a particular time. Other than cuts to commercials, I would think it poor producing to schedule cuts according to time without regards of what was going on in the parade.
Ultimately, to me, even trying to keep an open mind, I find it impossible to believe that KSL did not intend to cut the mayor from the parade coverage.
As a gay man, I am insulted. My intelligence was also insulted by the transparent explanation from KSL.
If she was a he, and 'straight', they would have found a way to show the mayor. That's no pioneers days. It's "anything to reinforce our rediculous beliefs and weird assumptions day".
This is to be expected. They feel if people don't see it, it doesn't exist. It's what's at the heart of their callousness and cruelty. The church's image is what they worship, a false god 100% because that battle is already lost.
