Our press contacts say they will be there if we get enough people out. If you have already resigned, or you are not ready to do so, you can come out in support of the idea of resignation from the Church.

BTW, if you've already resigned, you can still come celebrate and sign the declaration of independence from the LDS church.

Post a map and written directions to the location.

Post email contacts that people can use to volunteer to help with organization, PR, housing for out-of-towners, etc.

Your website assumes everyone knows where Ensign Downs Park is. This is off-putting.

I am in! Just got my diploma from the Lords University a few weeks ago so I'm no longer obligated to stay in. Sounds like a great opportunity to resign. I hope there will be lots of people that show up!

I would be there if I could, times 5.

I wish I could be there. Try to get some of the national press there, not just the local types. Or a journalist that will blog it for the Huff post. See if USA Today has a contact in Salt Lake - even a freelancer. You want this to catch the eye of the national media so they'll smell a larger story.

I will let all of the media sources I can think of know about this. I sure wish I could come for this. My fingers will be crossed. I hope it gets tons of people thinking and media spreading it will help too. Keep posting on this.

How can we get a huge CNN group there? With the election coming up, it is REAL IMPORTANT to have the news people cover this event nationally!
Just a few minutes ago on CNN, SLC was on because gays and TBMs matched together for Gay Pride...........NOW we know that was political.
The MASS RESIGNATION needs to be on CNN too and even better FOX NEWS. Who knows someone to help us get this on?
I am trying to find out........post here if you know.

Reading about the Mormons and gays together in SLC makes me think that if you can get mormon apostates that are also gay, you may get better news coverage. It's a kind of 3 for 1 mentality.

How you would work that out, I have no idea. It would require the gay apostates to come forward and speak to the media. That may be too much to ask all in one setting.

It helps them to see Romney in a different way because of his cult religion.
