A couple years ago my exmormon husband told me his and his ex's temple names. I thought "Nora(h) was odd, but then the BoM only has three women named and one is a whore, so current names were chosen, I guess . Though Joseph's 33 wives names would have been sufficient for a month, but I digress.

Recently I was looking at the Temple Name Archive and there IS no Nora. Funny. Closest thing is Norma and while I understand why one might prefer Nora, one of them mis-heard the name. I wonder if mormongod would have said 'eh close enough"? I love this story.

The CK is gonna be pretty empty.

We will all be partying next door at the TK Lounge...

(We couldn't remember all the names and shakes)

That is funny.

I couldn't remember my ex wife's name either and had to ask her (still married) if I got it right by writing it down on paper. She thought I blew it on the technicality of putting it in writing and she wouldn't get in the C.K.

Between the first and second time in the temple I forgot my own temple name. I have an excellent memory for everything except things I am not supposed to repeat, confidences and so forth. The result of the promise not to disclose anything about the temple ceremony was such that I carefully tried to forget everything. The only embarassment similar was when I went to pick up my date for the MIT junior prom and I got to her dorm at Simmons and could not remember her name. Fortunately, there was a list posted for duty at the desk and I recognized the name. I intentionally included my temple name in my discourse before the "Love Council".

I thought this was going to be about TBM men who really don't like their wives and have no intention of remembering their name at the veil.

Ruth? Ruutthh??? I don't know a Ruth.

According to LDS teaching, I (priesthood holder) am supposed to call forth my wife's flesh body from the grave at the resurrection. Hey, ya think I should just leave DW's body in the grave? She wouldn't like that, no...

Hey, she doesn't want much, she just wants to be a Norma Mormon! :)

The ex I got married to in the temple would gladly call me out of the grave.

He hasn't been able to do any better since I divorced him. I'm guessing he probably fantasizes about me now. I was the best he ever had. I wouldn't say that if I wasn't 100% sure. I'm 100% sure.

The good news is, neither one of us will be meeting up in the CK. It's a fairy tale land that JS made up to coerce women into the sack.

I don't know what happens after we die, but i'm pretty secure that I won't be spending eternity with that jerk.

A quick google for "Temple Name Archive" didn't turn up anything useful? Where's the list of dates/names located?
