Has anybody else experienced this from their TBM spouse. After coming to terms with my non-belief, she can just about tolerate it. But the act of resignation means that I am "divorcing" her, because I will be wilfully dissolving my temple marriage. I didn't even tell her I would like to - she volunteered that little gem. The purpose of the church is to "perfect the saints". It is not for perfect people, but sinning believers. As long as you believe, then the church is functioning correctly by working with you to stop sinning. If you don't believe, however, then you don't belong to that church.
