Emails home once a week and some missions have introduced online proselytizing via Facebook where missionaries are allowed on Facebook for a certain amount of time each day.

I've never been to the SLC airport, so is it easy to get a cab from there? I was thinking about making a reservation for the Express Shuttle. (Sorry for the dumb questions, I am not a frequent traveler!)

Hello, I will be traveling to SLC and wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable taxi service to get to and from the airport and possibly around town . It's only a one day trip.

While I don't doubt that HQ is monitoring the internet, I think the main reason that blogs are removed are because RfM readers will go and comment on them. Having a blog go from being read by just a few friends with zero comments to being bombarded with negative criticism from strangers is probably enough to make them invite-only or removed entirely.

I'm pretty sure her parents who post on the blog for her saw all of the negative comments coming through and made it private after that. I don't think church headquarters had anything to do with it (yet).

A fellow cancer fighter, at the age of 18. She was beautiful in every way. Her family is LDS, and they are finding comfort in the plan of salvation. I don't believe that anymore and am struggling with this loss.

Some of the things missionaries will say to get their investigators baptized is just sickening. Example from sister missionary's blog: "This week was a Law of Chastity Week...and by that I mean, we taught the Law of Chastity like 7 times because we have so many families who live together and aren’t married. So we just went ahead and told all of them that the reason they are unhappy and

I have a friend who is a missionary with Facebook access, and his latest letter included the following: The church is has created this amazing way to share the message of Christ this Easter and I wanted to give you the opportunity to be apart of it. Beginning Palm Sunday, April 13 and running through Easter, April 20, the church is launching an Easter Initiative called "Because of Him&quo

I live in K-town if anyone wants to meet up! I highly recommend the WDVX Blue Plate Special at the visitor's center. Ijams Nature Center is great for short hikes. Market Square has exploded in the past four years and has great shops and restaurants. The farmers' market is lots of fun if you're there on a Saturday in April-Nov.

They have STLs now (Sister Training Leaders). 2 for each district. Every transfer, they have to go on exchanges with all the other sisters in the district.

It was on the show "Oh No, Ross and Carrie!" They were actually baptized, which they rationalized with Alma 32. Their missionaries said as long as they had a hope as small as a mustard seed that the church might be true, then they should be baptized. The journalists went with it, got baptized, the whole deal. But they resigned about a week after their baptism and explained that they wer

I am going on a trip around Europe this summer with my younger sister (17 years old), and I thought with so many RMs here, I might find some good recommendations of things that are “must sees,” the best restaurants, or in general things to do that only a local would know about. This is a trip with a group of high school students but very loosely structured. We will have a lot of free time and
