Interestingly enough, back is the famous year of the "Swine Flu" shots, I was holding (with no training) the position of Public Health Nurse in my army reserve unit. I made sure EVERYONE got the shot.....except me. I am sitting here and anticipate that I may get the present flu shot tomorrow. My health cannot risk an extra sickness

1. The variance between the OT and the NT is largely covered in the books not included in the Protestant bibles. If you include them, you see and evolution from the OT to the NT. 2. As for the odd recognition of Christ, I see it was being inclusive. That is, if you see a follower you have seen Christ, as in baptism one is regenerated into Christ; that Christ is in you and you are in Christ. Henc

Bush was distant cousin. I am actually of the same generation - though born much later. I remember Bush for the time I sat next to him during his campaign for vice-president. I was the highest ranking Republican present. On another occasion, my mother recounted when she had a long luncheon next to Dorothy Bush and spoke about their families. An irony is that during a prior luncheon the same year

We have wild turkeys around where we live and they DO FLY! One incident with the turkeys I posted a while back. A red fox noticed with one of the hen turkeys had a bad leg and lagged. His plan of attack was noticed by the tom turkey and he rounded the other hen turkeys around the weak one to protect her and he chased the fox away! This was in our back year.

The BOM isn't even well written. Indeed, in order to try to read it, I automatically started correcting it. Without any change in the story line the number of words is cut a third. I can't understand a woman reading it and not recognizing that it did not contain women except for a couple of passages such as "the .... warriors". The Bible at least has some stories about women.

Men have long been encouraged to wear plain shirts and ties which are not bright, usually only plain or striped. Needless to say, I did not comply. The sisters liked my ties.

In olde New England a number of witches were executed. I once dated a girl who was a descendant of one of the witches. BYW we had a bishop who was descended from a woman who was convicted in Connecticut...but whose neighbors protested and the penalty was not carried out.

The first garments were not just one piece but went to the wrists and ankles! You could still get them when I first went to the temple. REAL mos wore the full ones. BTW in getting our endowments the two piece ones allowed for your first time when I got endowed.

Sorry for the late reply but the Pilgrims were free to practice their religion in Holland but felt they were losing the English customs. I am descendant of them as well as having a puritan ancestry and a Quaker ancestry as well as Welsh and French ancestry...and Scottish Presbyterian ancestry.

Psychological damage due to family being told should be sufficient for a suit but since it was some years ago a statute of limitation may prevent a suit.

What you have all written is certainly true. In the Bible those who left Egypt got tired and many wanted to return! I would imagine that all were told of the impossibility of going back because they would be attacked by indians, etc. and have no food if they left. BTW, when some of my ancestors - especially my grandfather - were in the west they returned to the east. Some of my relatives were

First, Christ has no middle name. Nor does he have a last name, the single name is Jesus. Christ is a title not a name. There is NO "H" middle. About the only person with a single letter for a middle name was President Truman. I was at a camp once where I had a roommate with first name and a last name both of only three letters. In college I had a roommate also without a middle name

My "temple name" was Stephen but my real first name has been handed down in every generation of our family for over 800 years. I gave my "temple name" in a reference during my trial which I labeled: "Before the Sanhedrin".

Well, the Charter Oak lasted for centuries. Perhaps that is why oaks are considered so sturdy. It is also the kind of tree to tie with a yellow ribbon around. Red maples are also special trees.

It now appears that the brunt will be further south of Hatteras. The rain will be extraordinary. Floods have happened where I live now. In '57 several people died not far from my home (under a mile) when a bridge was broken by the currents and we had 17 inches of rain.

We have several trees in our yard which we watched grow up from seed. One is over sixty feet tall. It is a seedling from another of our trees which is much smaller and in a state of decay although there is a rope for swinging which our children used and now our grandchildren. Once, in our front garden by our driveway I saw three birch saplings growing and I pulled them up and left them in the

We almost lost a daughter there on 9/11. She was about to begin a job in the Twin Towers that day but....got a feeling and decided not to. When she was four she had a rare auto-immune disease, was failing fast, but recovered more completely than all others. On Columbus Day that year she was sick, I was invited, as a state senator, to speak and she was there holding her baby brother, and a cameram

The hurricane is coming and it appears the famous lighthouse will be in the middle of it. I first visited it back in the summer of 1970, having just graduated from law school at Duke and, of course, got a good photograph. I also have a necktie with the lighthouse on it. It is at the cape that the gulfstream leaves the shore of North Carolina to go across the Atlantic to Europe.

She should have known, having seen the Simpson's show when Homer sold his soul to the Devil. Bart was counsel for the defense and won. Bart found that in a picture Homer had given to Marge, he had given himself body and soul to Marge and, hence, did not have it to give. Similarly the woman lawyer only had to give her soul to her husband first. As for the other souls, she didn't possess them. See,

Over a year ago, I looked out in my back yard to the neighbor's yard next door. There was a magnificent flowered tree, large and near the end of it's lifespan, but gorgeous. I ran inside and got my camera and took a picture of it, though slightly obscured by another tree which a week later fell. I gave my neighbor an 8x10 of he tree. Today, the tree having lost the larger part over two storms, wa
