I'm now Baptist. However, it was almost four years before I started attending a different church from the time I went inactive with the knowledge that I would never return.

What I found fun about it is that stupid quote going around saying, "Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith." TBMs are loving posting this stupid thing on FB. Now, a few of my exmos on my page are fighting back by posting it, saying things like, "How sad is it that you aren't even allowed to explore your own doubts?" ect, and the TBMs are getting pissed and flipping o

I resigned in March, got my confirmation in May. However, my VT/HT continue to try and visit me or send me a monthly card trying to get me back to church. I don't wasn't to be rude, but I've had enough. I want to send a letter back telling them not only am I not interested, but my family has joined a new church. Will blunt kindness work?

Entries like the one you just shared makes me so glad I was a bad little mormon girl and was never "worthy" for a temple recommend.

And does his lovely new bride know this? Sounds a bit extreme just to shut your family up.

I'm kinda jealous. I want to be on that list!! I did buy one of those funny signs for my front window that says, "No soliciting! We're too poor to buy anything, we've already found Jesus, we love our vacuum, seriously, unless you are selling thin mints, GO AWAY!"

Here's the link. http://community.babycenter.com/post/a43254334/did_you_go_through_the_temple_for_my_not_dead_aunt Apparently this woman did research for her family since she is a convert and the only member, only to discover that her aunt had already received her Baptism by proxy. And her aunt is still alive! It has taken every single OUNCE of self control not to comment on this. Then t

Funny. I never "loved" any of those things when I was TBM. Apparently I was really born into the wrong religion. So glad I rectified that and got out. ;)

Mine always knew. But it was obvious when I received my first set and I was a single pregnant 17yr old. With the rest of my vt and ht, they never had to guess because my clothes were never garment appropriate and my coffee pot sat out in the open.

....you feel the need to go out of your way to save the children of your ex mo friend or family member. After all, their parents are apostates and regardless of their new beliefs (even if they are Christian), it is perfectly acceptable, and even smiled on by God, to go behind the parents backs and teach Mormonism to the children.

Send an email to both, stating your resignation is effective immediately. Give it three weeks, if you get no response in way of a formal letter saying your name has been removed, then email them again, and refer to your prior email. You'll get the letter of confirmation almost immediately.

I told your sister once that if all TBMS were like her, I probably never would have left. I really am honored to be friends with both of you.

I agree, she is a true friend. We've been best friends since we were 11yrs old. She has stood by me and supported me through everything, even my teenage pregnancy. I love her to death! And I love her even more now that I know for a fact she really does respect my decision on leaving the church.

If she had ratted me out, she would have let them in, not almost slam the door in their faces, then feel guilty so offered them a glass of water to drink outside in the 101 deg weather. Besides, it wasn't a planned get together but a last minute thing. My guess is they were walking by, saw a strange car in her drive way next to hers and decided that maybe they could get an easy baptism.

I went to visit a very dear friend of mine who is still TBM. She is the one I told about three weeks ago that I am no longer mormon. We were having a wonderful visit, the children all splashing outside in the sprinkler and us sitting inside by the window watching them and chatting when someone knocked on the door. My friend gave me a confused look and went to answer her door. There stood a co
