The Polynesian Cultural Center is a great show - no doubt about that. I also really like the food you can buy outside the place in their parking lot. It is the best deal in Hawaii. A huge plate of food (fish) that foods two and inexpensive. Whenever I have gone to Hawaii, I eat there as much as I can. If only the Church would do more things like this...

When I was at BYU a friend of mine use to work out in the morning and then stay in his workout clothes all day to 'justify' him not wearing garments. Happens all over I think.

Good times, good times. And thanks to SL Cabbie for picking me up from the airport and giving me the cabbie tour of SLC. As the Dos Equis man would say 'I don't always go to the exmo conferences but when I do it's always a great time.' I imagine the youtube videos will be up in the future and I think there's audio links now or will be soon on the exmo conf site.

I was taught this in Gospel Doctrine class as a faith-promoting true story that helped prove Joseph was really a prophet and could translate ancient writings. Yeah, seriously.

I was with my son in the first Primary class. They were teaching about how people receive the light of Christ. They used a couple of flashlights to demonstrate how some people receive more light than others. They were talking about how after you get baptized you get more light than nonmembers do. And they asked who would like to have more light in their home? My 4 year-old son, who normall

"One of the purposes of a prophet is to seek the wisdom and the will of the Lord and to teach his people accordingly. It was the case with Moses when he led the children of Israel out of Egypt. It was the case for the Old Testament prophets when people were faced with oppression and trouble and difficulty. That is the purpose of a prophet, to give answers to people for the dilemmas in which

“Remember: when you see the bitter apostate, you do not see only an absence of light, you see also the presence of darkness. Do not spread disease germs.” - Apostle Boyd K. That's because the Church instructs its members that if they don't have enough money, to pay tithing first and then short each bill: From the Family Home Evening Resource Book, Lesson Ideas, Tithing, 227 "There is not enough money to pay all of the bills and still pay a full tithing. What should he do? Point out that you pay tithing first, and then you pay a portion of what you owe

For those Johnny Lingo fans, they made a sequel or actually a prequel to the 'hit' Johnny Lingo. I have it. I think it's called "The legend of Johnny Lingo". It's about JL's early days. If you liked the first one, you would probably appreciate the second.

My experience serving in that calling was not bad. Although we were still labeled as 'singles' and always looked at a little different, we did have some fun activities and such but a very low budget so we had to pay for most everything ourselves. It mostly provided a way for us to get together for structured activities.

The masked magician walk on glass plates mounted on glass in a pool. Everyone in the pool was in on it when Chris Angel did the same. The masked magician walked thru a glass plate by having the panel slide revealing a hole big enough to walk through. Haven't seen the cell phone thing duplicated but I'm sure it was a trick bottle that opens up and then closes to make it look like all glass.
