If you meet a nice ex-mo at the UU, consider having them sit in during the meeting with the sisters (if that happens) That friend can keep your resolve strong and you know that you have another person who knows what kind of craziness (constant pursuit) by the missionaries or church members that can happen . Its important, for your own growth, that you are the one saying "no, thank you"

Welcome from Lurkdom!! I just wanted to throw in my welcome since I'm also native (100%). I don't say a lot around here so I've been a lurker since around 1998. One thing that you might go through is an anger stage. Don't get too wrap up in it. Get through it and you will be enjoying life without an LDS thought in your head popping up. Welcome from Phoenix, AZ, USA!!!

Try and do one thing for yourself. I kinda had the same issue. I was in a path I thought I was supposed to take. My very supportive spouse is supporting me through getting a BS in Accounting. I'm 45 years old. You are never to old to learn a new language, go on a trip to a place you've always wanted to go, or create a piece or art. Just do one thing and see where it takes you.

Yes, the latte suggestions are good and ask them to add sugar or simple syrup (liquid sugar). I like caramel lattes.

I love this conversation! Recovered Molly Mo is learning to set boundries. We are supporting her, because that's why we're here. To help each other out! NO ONE has responded to frisson's unhelpful, aggressive written attack. Bravo RFM community! High Five!

Big Love shows this. Two missionaries end up on Nikki's door step. It's in one of the first few episodes. I love that show! I had so many laugh out loud moments that I had to explain later to my husband. I always got a WTF? astonished look every time.

I'm an atheist and I freaking love this pope. He is really all about the Jesus. He's right up there with my other favorite christian Jimmy Carter. They both are really about the christian basics; help those in need, love and respect all. Superstars!

I concur! I am an atheist but I say Merry Christmas! I'll take any good wishes coming my way and If its tinged with a smidge of god-loving patronizing superiority I let it go and not let it ruin my moment, because I'm having an amazing life without a "God" in my life. Have a blessed day, y'all! from Phoenix, AZ

If you are out at a restaurant, tell the server that you're new to wines, what you've tried and what you've liked and and what price range you're comfortable in. They are happy to help. I'm doing this right now with whiskeys. I've enjoyed $40+ bottles of wine but there are some really great bottles out there for $10 to $15. Drink what you like and try something new to find the next favorite

I was looking for tips on what "the kids" are bringing to the classroom (notebooks, ipads etc) (I'm in my 40's returning to school) and I found this girl on youtube. She's pretty friendly and amazing. This video may help with your questions and her other videos are pretty great, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QX9gqZs9zgo&feature=share&list=TLPZfTM4Wm6V3gdSZWHPEwgbDZme-
