What are you going to play? I'll be performing Bach's Chaconne in later this year but not on a Stradivarius,....in fact not even on a violin.

When they finally decipher the Maya script, boy, then you will see the Book of Mormon being proven! Those inscriptions all over Mesoamerica are going to be all about Book of Mormon stuff. Well that's what they used to tell me back before they deciphered the Maya script. They don't say that any more.

From "On This Day in Mormon History" Mar 13, 1930 - Probable date for the creation of the Los Lunas Ten Commandment Stone. "Eva and Hobie 3-13-30" is carved on a rock nearby the notorious "Ten Commandment Stone.". The stone contains a Phonecian inscription of the Ten Commandments and has achieved some fame in the Mormon community as evidence of the historicity o

June 29, 1822 - The "Manchester, New York, Assessment Roll," values Joseph Smith Sr.'s 100-acre parcel of land in Manchester at $700 which is the same value as the previous year. A year later on July 24, 1823 it is valued at $1000 indicating that improvements (a cabin built and land cleared) have been made. June 29, 1836 - Leading citizens of Clay County, Missouri formally petition

My reply: "Gee you might be right...an angel appeared to me and told me the Church was false. I reached out to shake his hand but I didn't feel anything. Do you think that's significant?"

"We in the Church are always doing anything we can to strengthen families so with this in mind we take children away from their families and have them raised in active LDS homes in hopes of making them more active and a better asset to the Church than their remaining family on the reservation."

I once attended the annual congregational meeting for a Presbyterian congregation. It was a stark contrast to the way LDS do things. In the first place ANYONE could attend. When you walked in the door they handed you a sheet of paper with all the information and stats for the year including complete financial break down. The interesting part was the number of people who were dropped from me

Just as "the gift of tongues" has changed since the early days of the Church from the weird languages people would start talking to the fact that people now learn foreign languages at the Empty Sea so the "washing of feet" ordinance will morph from actual washing of feet (as was practiced in the Kirtland Temple) to the licking of shoes. Line upon line precept upon precept.

I would only oppose it if it would actually stop it. My daughter begged me to let her get baptized at 8. I said, "no you have to wait until you are 18, then you can decide for yourself." By the time she was 18 she wanted nothing to do with the Church. Had I given in (because it "meant nothing") she would be on their membership rolls and have HT's and VT's hounding he

How DARE you refer to Elder Scott is if he were a human being. Don't you know that the apostles, prophets, seers, and revelators are a species apart from the rest of us. Don't you realize that they have milk and cookies with JESUS himself every thursday? Don't you know that they must be IDOLIZED in the strictest sense of the word. Icons of them must be in prominent places in our homes. W

The funny thing is that "The Simpsons" is about as pro-family as you can get and just about always has a moral aspect to the plot. The complainers basically complain because it doesn't make its points in a dry, white-bread way like the Morg likes to do. There is no better social satire on television.

Post the following as your status on FB: "Health in the navel, marrow in the bone, strength in the loins and in the sinew; power in the priesthood be upon me, and upon my posterity, through all generations of time and throughout all eternity."

To Mormons ANYTHING that is not a Faith-Promoting-Sunday-School-Lesson is "anti-Mormon." Years ago my TBM Dad was reading "The Twenty-Seventh Wife" by Irving Wallace. It's the story of Ann Eliza Webb Young, one of Brigham Young's wives who divorced him. My Dad told me that basically it was an anti-Mormon hatchet job on the Church. Years later I read it and was amaze at how

It wasn't a "behind closed doors" event. It was a vote where each member's vote was recorded and it was open to the public and the press to view and report on.

In Religion if you come up with a belief contrary to the prevailing one they tell you to shut up or else they excommunicate you. It matters not what evidence you can muster to support your point. In Science if you come up with a theory contrary to the prevailing one they ask for your evidence. If your evidence is convincing you may get a Nobel Prize. RELIGIOUS FAITH: "I know that

Wait a minute. Doesn't the Church and the rest of the "religious right" adamantly oppose gay marriage because it cannot produce offspring? Well this marriage cannot produce offspring (either in this world--too old--or in the next--just for time). Shouldn't good Mormons be working hard to pass laws against this kind of thing?

And why couldn't a minion of Satan, who now knows about D&C 129 just refuse to shake hands?? Then you'd think he was a just man made perfect and do his bidding. The whole "shake the hand" test is horribly flawed since demons can slip through just by not offering their hand. cheers, Baura the Wonder Dog

Joseph Smith didn't use this on the first vision duo. He didn't use this on Moroni's (Nephi's) visit. He didn't use it on Elijah's visit. As far as Mormons know the whole church is based on satanic minions appearing to Joseph Smith.
