I don’t think it will be that bad. The problem is the D-News has a constant influx of cash.

I actually became an atheist in Iraq. As did many other soldiers. After seeing the overall debacle that Islam was and how religion in general simply did not jive with reality. The world is simply too fucked up for their to be some wizard in the sky that controls everything. Foxholes create Atheists.

When I was a correctional officer at the Utah State Prison in 1990. I was in the control room in Uinta 3, the maximum security area where Hoffman and Lafferty were housed, when Dan Lafferty tripped the emergency buzzer yelling that “Hoffy” had collapsed. The week before, I was working in visiting when Hoffman recieved an early morning Sunday visit from his parents. His mother was blatherin

There are a lot of rental opportunities in Ephraim due to the college. Most cater to college students though so you would have to be around a lot of noise and college bullshit. I lived in Manti for 16 years and graduated from Snow. My son lives in an apartment in Ephraim that is tied to his employment with the Coffee house he works at part time. There are virtually no rentals in Manti. I s

It’s the publicity. Part of his plea agreement was that he tell exactly what he did. To this day he has said nothing.

I used to work at Hill Air Force base as a civillian. Most of the civillians I worked with were devout LDS while the Airman were all non-Mormon and very young. The Ogden Temple was having its open house and many of the Mormon employees were trying to get the military personnel to go to the open house. This was becoming a problem in the workplace especially as it is illegal in the Federal workplac

I’ll be honest with you. Without a police report the reckless driving never happened. DCFS won’t do anthing. You do need your daughter in counseling. I am assuming that you have sole custody? If that is the case, the most that you will probably get is him having supervised visits and thats a big maybe. Mediation is probably your best bet. But from what you have described, he will most likely

I have been down this road before, not an attorney, just a dad. I see several issues that are going to cause you grief. First, you say that DCFS is still investigating the last “Parent Time” debacle with your EX. Is there a police report? Reckless driving is going to require a citation and court information before they take it too seriously. They aren’t highway patrolman and they will

Yeah, me too. Back in 2013 I sent them a resignation, they sent it back saying they couldn’t process it because all I had for a return address was a P.O. Box. I didn’t care. I know that legally I was finished the minute they got the letter. I kept a copy of the resignation, the green receipt with their signature and a copy of their response and never looked back. I am kind of non-conform

Legally, you are out the minute the church recieves your letter. Your Bishop can say anything he wants, he can say he “removed your name” or never hear back. It matters not. You ceased being a member the moment they recieved your letter telling them your done. Any other response, to include no response is simply their own administrative bullshit. All they are to you is just a bunch of guys yo

Well, I think you are thinking of the “Strengthening Members Committee” or something to that effect. I don’t really think that they actually use FBI people for that sort of thing. It exists to sift through various media sources in order to evaluate critical news stories about the church written by church members and then forward them to Bishops for further handling. Letting both the Bishop

I don’t really see that. I could see them owning part of the company but not an individual store. They strike me as bigger players than that. I don’t really see a big payoff for just one store.

I think a good clue would be the Mormons interviewed in the famous “Sixty Minute” interview with Hinkley and Mike Wallace. That seems to show who they really like since they were most likely vetted by the church for the interview, although I don’t remember Romney being interviewed and he certainly is a favorite. Steve Young seems to be a little less popular with them.

I think the dishonorable release is worse than not going. I think that for males,he will always be seen as a failure. The guy who never goes will most likely disappear from the church forever because he will never be seen as a credible adult. His wounds heal quicker.

“The Accountant” a fairly interesting biography of Pablo Escobar founder of the Medellin drug cartel. Written by his brother Roberto, an unbiased source. A good book but definitely take with a huge grain of salt. And the “Darkest Night” by Ron Franscell an absolutely horrific true story of two young girls kidnapped, raped and thrown off a 120 foot bridge to their deaths(one survived)

I think this is the eighth time I have read this story and it never gets old. Thanks for sharing. I never went out on a mission. I filled out the paperwork but a week later met a Navy recruiter that talked me right out of a mission and into the U.S. Navy. Never looked back. My sympathies at the loss of your spouse.

The guy was shot but not killed. A trial was held and he tried to have the “Angel Moroni” subpoenaed as a witness.
