Yes,several decades ago in Manti a group of zealous Mormons that eventually split off and founded their own polygamous church would regularly disrupt sacrament meetings to the point that the cops had to be called on several occasions.

The Curch office does indeed keep all of its records, the local ward or stake house shouldn’t have any. The church never gets rid of any written record. They will microfilm, scan, preserve any and all documents. They never forget. I remember that I had a church court and they kept a file on the proceedings. I was not allowed to see it, but I could read alot of it as it lay open on the B

The only people who can see them are the people involved in the Court, roughly a dozen people. Only one copy is made and it will be forwarded to the COB when it is resolved. The local leaders are not allowed to keep copies. Of course, they can really do whatever they want and make as many copies as they want. Never expect any privacy from the church.

They can do whatever they want with their records. If you ever thought that they were YOUR records then you are sadly mistaken. When I had a little court, they had records on me that I could see on their desk. They looked very detailed. I was not allowed to see them. Nothing you can do about it. Those records are their property.

These are the topics they are preparing to “help minister” with. Sounds like it will include alot of nosing around and butting into peoples lives. https://providentliving.lds.org/leader/ministering-resources?lang=eng

Standby!!! Rest assured that another annoying program is awaiting it’s debut. They won’t let an oppurtunity to bug you go away.

I imagine they are in no hurry to ditch the BSA. That would be expensive and I see them in no hurry to spend that much money on a program they already have alot of control over.

I think we have a winner. Aren’t they required to close a ward if it does not have a significant number of available priesthood members?

Generally in their fifties. In some wards it might never happen. A fifty-year old Elder, in most wards would be seen as “less than” as that means he has been passed over as a potential leader, which the priesthood is all about.

Butch Cassidy beat out Eyring... I’m pulling for Butch. Butch is hands down the most famous Utahn. I was surprised that Lorreta Young, the 1940’s movie star from Salt Lake wasn’t on the list.

I never understood people who worried about the Selective Service registration. There will never be another draft. The military hates it, they get far more bang for the buck from volunteers. Even if there was a draft and you didn’t want to fight you could join the Navy and volunteer for submarines abd be a cook or a yeoman (typist). Why worry about concientious objector bullshit? Just volunt

I think another reason for its success was the fact that at that time you had a country with alot more military veterans who could appreciate alot of the humor. It also had very likeable characters.

I loved MASH and as a kid watched every episode. It was really funny and definately thought provoking. Winchester was always great and Burns was so dislikeable. I record it all the time still and watch it. One thing about it that is not like todays is the canned laugh track. That was one of the first shows I noticed that as being really obnoxious. Do I need fake laughter to rell me somethin

I think they keep basic info. Date and place of birth, dates of ordinances, parents names and Where you went on a mission. They will note if you have been disfellowshipped or ex’d. They also list the last ward that you lived in. Anything else about you is kept under lock and key at COB.

If she had taken that camera with her, ruined the memory card and thrown the camera into the Pacific Ocean she would have most likely gotten away with it.
