No. ARAIK, churches in the US (and other countries) can be as homophobic, racist and sexist as they wish too (mostly). Look at the sexual discrimination within TSCC - women explicitly barred from positions of leadership and authority. This sort of discrimination is illegal in most of the secular world. Yay! Go Religion! Gay marriage has been legal in Canada for some time now. TSCC can not

Men use porn because they can. It's socially acceptable that men (as a category) do this, it's available because historically men (as a category) have had the money and means to create and consume pornography, men (as a category) feel at ease in exploring their sexuality and men (as a category) feel entitled have sexual release available to them. If men and women were socialized in similar

Very wise, T-Bone. I have similar tactics that you've mentioned. Also, when I'm actually at a family get together, I pretend I'm an anthropologist conducting 'participant observation' research into the social workings of a freaky weird tribe that I discovered years ago... each year I return to re-witness their winter-time rituals. ;-) I have an anthro degree so this is 'natural' for me

I agree. Whenever I have had a cock between my legs, my eyes have rolled around in the back of my head. It makes it difficult to focus my vision let alone my thoughts.

I personally think 'forgiveness' is way over-rated and not always necessary goal. Forgiveness can work in certain situations but I think it carries way too much importance and human energy than it should. I think carrying a grudge is a perfectly sane and healthy alternative than trying to contort oneself to forgive.

I find men's hands attractive, therefor all men should wear gloves to protect me from my lusty reveries. (Whoops! What am I saying?! Women aren't sexual beings. Silly me.) It's so ridiculous that people actually attempt to define what it is that other people find sexually stimulating and then make attempt to prevent that stimulation from taking place. I'm thinking that cat herders have better

I might be completely wrong here but I don't think your son should be carrying much of the blame. You say the dad, skipped out of/broke up the family for a few years and of course son has a lot of anger about that. That makes sense and I think that's normal and healthy. What's unhealthy, imo, is dad not wanting to deal with it by not wanting to get therapy, not wanting to take appropriate cop

> Having children makes you a more rounded adult. > It forces you to start thinking of someone else's > needs ahead of your own Oh c'mon, that's a doozy of a generalization. There are plenty of adults without children who are very well-rounded and generous. And there are plenty of adults with children who are one-dimension robots who have children to serve their own selfish

I already donate to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders but the Canadian Gov't announced... "For every eligible dollar donated by individual Canadians to registered Canadian charities in response to the impact of Typhoon Haiyan on the Philippines and other affected countries, the government will set aside one dollar for the Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund." So I donated ex
