uh, no. Originally 2x4's measured 2x4 even after they were dryed. If you own an older home you will find this to be the case (as in my house). However, they now mill them smaller to get more boards out of a tree, and make more money.

All the time growing up. The local drive in was the "Mountain Vue", AKA "The Passion Pit". There was also a spot by the river where you could sit and watch the movie, but not hear it. There was one guy from school with a van (yes, it was the '70's) who would usually have a keg in back. $5 for all you could drink. One of the best memories was when my Dad took me and a

Unfortunately, I was out of town when they pulled out of Cheyenne last weekend. I'm hoping to catch them on the return trip.

If you think the Inca stuff was wild, you should check out the Moche Pottery. Although that may have actually been what you were looking at.

"7) Agreed. The problem is that the rubber hoses used in gasoline engines get eaten by ethanol. That's why you are warned not to put E-85 into a regular gasoline vehicle - hose damage - that plus the computer controlling the fuel injectors would need to be adjusted." And in older cars (like I tend to own), it will melt the floats in your carburetor. That one took me a bit to figure

War and Peace was difficult to get through, but very interesting. I got through it faster than "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" though. That one I would have to put down for a few days, or a week, before I could pick it back up again.

Yes, they are pulling a proper train. One car is always a travelling work shop, and then there are sleepers for the guys who keep the thing running. And usually VIP car and caboose to boot.

Just FYI. Being listed on the NRHP does not affect what a property owner can, or can't, do with their property. I've seen many sites, buildings, and or structures which are listed be obliterated.

I've been ripped off and cheated more by white men in suits and ties than any other demographic. By a long shot.

Interesting. A man in Kennewick, had his DNA tested, and belongs to the same Halogroup (Q-M3) as Kennewick man. https://www.nbcrightnow.com/check-it-out/unexpected-dna-link-a-kennewick-man-shares-paternal-lineage-with/article_0d1dd9d8-192e-11e9-a8d2-fb6538151077.html

We had a similar story in our family, that we had a Shawnee ancestor. It turned out to be both right and wrong. We have a great-great-great (how ever many "greats" are required here) grandfather who did marry a Shawnee woman. However, my line comes from his previous (English) wife who died during child birth. So we do have a Native American ancestor by marriage, but not by blood.

I'm not sure how well it works for Wild Turkeys, but it does a fairly good job for deer. What is it you might ask? Predator (Coyote, Cougar) urine. And yes, you can buy it and not have to collect it yourself: https://www.amazon.com/Predator-Pee-100-Mountain-Urine/dp/B01AH4RV32 If that doesn't work, eat them.

Yes, he is still TBM. I actually met him last summer because his son is in my nephews Boy Scout Troup up in Washington. Seemed nice. The best part was that I got to correct him when he confused "paleontologist" with "archaeologist.

Well, he helped rolled back Bears Ears and Escalante and "freed" that land up for extraction. And, as a bonus, screwed over those pesky Lamanites at the same time.
