The official propaganda machine for the church still calls itself the mormon newsroom. I think someone with a brain reminded the fp that a lot of the sheep have their browsers bookmarked and a change in the name *might lose a bunch of their followers.

You're right Mel. Rusty keeps hacking into RFM to tell us to not use mormon anymore. The too long of a name for a church would screw up our subject lines.

I was pulled off a public school bus to go to primary because the sister that ran the primary car pool didn't believe that I was NOT supposed to attend that very Wednesday. Never should have happened.

I like the one that talks about how important it is to buy forged church documents from a guy called Huffman. {Well, give Joe a break. He couldn't get all his alleged prophecies right} Then there's the one that talks about the importance of cleaning up downtown SLC for a higher purpose. Of course, the section of D and C that accurately declares that God does not lead a poor people and or ch

It never occurs to the leaders that their message is out of date. They peddle a product that is of no value. The missionaries get the raw end of the deal. They work for all the make-believe puffery (baptisms, rewards in heaven, spiritual blessings) and pay the high price (victims of theft, rape and battery). In the end, the church washes the blood off of their hands. -We never told them to

The actual Safety Zone video pt1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMBMZRLeVfI It still emphasizes obedience- to handbook, mission rules and the wise old fool called the mission president. Why am I so facetious? Because mine ordered us missionaries to eat cracked wheat for breakfast because it was SO good for us. Keeping a box of cw kept us from being berated from the MP. And then the

I think the church actually delights in pushing intelligent and sympathetic members out the door. It's easier to justify their "Don't get offended" mantra.

Missionaries are liabilities, not assets to the church. Some mission presidents are very good and have a genuine concern for the overall welfare of the individual missionary. Others are not. Parents need to realize that if there son/daughter may be in danger due to negligence if not arrogance. I had a companion, Elder Stud, that was bitten on the rump by a stray dog. To him, it was just

The church used to have a rule that missionaries were not supposed to be teaching the opposite sex. It was frequently broken to keep that "earned" baptism. In my opinion, the church doesn't do enough to keep all missionaries safe. If you think closing your eyes and crossing your fingers is good enough, then you're in the same mindset of the church. A good example of this is how the c

Whenever I heard these lessons, I reckoned myself to stay behind. The idea of walking behind hundreds of cranky members was not very appealing. Especially, the loonies in my ward.

Rusty invites every stake president to take a plane ride with him, the profit. He offers each one the choice of a parachute or a copy of the BoM. Which one will each one choose? He then pushes each one out of the airplane.

He's a Rambler. He goes from topic to topic. I've listened to this guy speak several times. Every single time, he has something to say about Sister Bednar! Whether it's the number of years he's been married or how he met her, this dude is always talking about her. Conversely, I've listened to other GAs-bags and they never mention their spouse. Hell, I've listened to Ashton to the point that I

Rusty has learned to take up inline skating. The profit invites the whole world to follow him on skates. Consequently, the church will offer an affordable hospital plan.

For sure, many of us have recovered from the church because we share a strong love for animals. I'm amazed of how many care for strays living in the street. What a sense of compassion! I bring this up because so many of us were part of an organization that had to remind its members to be nice. Secondly, I reflect back growing up in the church and I just realized how few of my church acquain

Most leaders have never read their own scriptures. That's what I countered (actually requested) to be shown a scripture that tells us which hand to use when partaking the sacrament. Not an obscure reference to a 1950s church magazine.

I think the PH control of the RS occurred about the time that the women started becoming uppity (church's label, not mine) with the ERA movement. It was a way for the leaders to reassure themselves that no RS was going to dominate their edicts. I think taking away their money was meant to be demeaning of the RS. In my ward there were two sisters that "called on each other" for suppo

I've heard many stories of how BKP and others GAs-bags were appalled that wards were straying too far from the cult indoctrination when making ward visits. They wanted everyone to be on the same page/lesson on any given day. The reality is that these asshats wanted their legacy of conference talks to be actively discussed-mesmerized in church lessons and not quotes from secular scholars. I thi

I think #2 PB control and #5 are possible. I don't think the church gives a damn if people are excluded from temple marriages. And I certainly believe that the church will never admit the 2nd annointings. That makes the GAS-BAGS feel extra-special. I have no idea about the cross. They really like the dumb Bom horn blower over Christ.

LDS living has gone to the rescue as a way to explain why the church fails to detect, catch or reasonably punish church leaders when they commit serious sins and crimes. http://www.ldsliving.com/6-Book-of-Mormon-Truths-to-Consider-When-a-Church-Leader-Commits-a-Serious-Sin/s/90339 1. Nelson really flubbed up his joke. Only a few people laughed (the stuffy BYU suits sitting behind him). I tried to remember something memorable when I was an active member, but his talks didn't resonate with me. They are quite forgettable and uninspiring. He likes to bounce his medical terminology off mormon ears.
