My TBM brother called and gave the message to my oldest son. He told him that my mom was in really bad shape and if he wanted to see her he needed to come to Utah. He also told my son that my brother and I are not welcome to come see her. I wouldn't go anyway even if I was "welcome" to see her. Nor would my brother. My mother and I have been estranged off and on for years. This

I am wore out. Canned, froze, and dried 20 bushels of peaches today. My DH and brother helped. Going to start on tomato canning this week. Already froze corn from 50 dozen ears! And canned beans. I sure hate the work but the product sure is good during the winter. I will be glad to go back to work!

Having to sit at my moms kitchen table and eat serving after serving of the crappy jello dishes she made. She mixed all sorts of crap together. The most putrid was a green (lime) jello with sauerkraut, shredded carrots, and shrimp. I just vomited a little in my mouth!

Tent revivals are very popular in our area. On of my DH relatives frequently travels the revival circuit preaching. He is known to work the crowd up into a frenzy. Lots of shouting, speaking in tongues, laying on of hands, singing, and preaching. When he was a young man he did snake handling - he is missing 4 fingers and the rest of his fingers are misshapen. To me a little of this type of

We are having a cookout for about 100 people. We are roasting a pig and everything else will be potluck style brought by the guests. Every year we have some sort of entertainment. This year we are putting on a talent show - so far we have 35 acts signed up to perform. I can't wait to see what everyone does.

At a well known steak restaurant I bit into a bullet while eating my steak. Broke my one of my back teeth off. Restaurant covered dental work. DH once was getting a bite of salad when he looked down and saw something red among the veggies. It was a pencil stub!! They offered him a new salad but he declined and we left the restaurant.

I was never a missionary but Elders rented an apartment across the hall from my brother and I. There was an extremely cute missionary that I wanted to have sex with. I finally manipulated him into the apartment. I was sitting in his lap. He was a good boy and had his suit, tie, white shirt and garments on. I on the other hand had on "Daisy Duke" shorts, shirt that not only showed m

The missionaries said "you only left so you could sin." I replied " Yes I did! Plus I didn't want to spend eternity with my LDS husband who couldn't F worth a damn."

No, but I would rather stand on my head in cow poop and listen to that album for a week than have to listen to two minutes of general conference

Lol!!! Every day I said "you'll be sorry when someone steals your truck." Every day he said " hasn't happened yet." SHOCKER! I was right. He will never live this down, people at his work, me & the kids, family have all been burning him up all day. There were no cameras at the truck stop, nobody has seen it. I agree that it is long gone.

Let the cat sleep with you - it wants to be with its people. As far as the hubby maybe he can sleep on the screen porch.

Hubby left the house this morning about 3:30 for work. He ran into a truck stop at 4:15 to get coffee. He left the motor running and when he came out the truck was gone. Despite many prayers for the truck to be recovered it has not been found. My take on this is: god can find keys, but trucks are too big of a job, or since DH was going to buy coffee he is being punished by the location of th

My parents tithe, tithe, tithe. They had that stupid food storage, but We had very little to eat when I was growing up. Take that back - the future priesthood holders were fed and if there was anything left my mom gave it to me. For instance- she would split a can of ravioli between my brothers. I would get four saltine crackers with a spoonful of the "juice" on them. One time my dad

Worked in the greenhouse today with the kids. Hubby and my brother have been plowing yesterday and today. Another wonderful day in paradise! (Actually, standing on my head in poop would be better than going to or watching conference).

You can get them in Kentucky but you have to tell the workers what they are. Our local mom & pop coffee shop have them on the menu.
