Thank you for providing this information. I understand, from reading, that many people, especially those over 60 are deficient in Vitamin D. I understand a person's Vitamin D level is something that should be checked yearly by their physician as part of their well-check appointment. I understand it's very difficult to get enough Vitamin D from our typical diet in the U.S., and most of us,

states in the United States, I guess due to the interpretations of the U.S. Constitution, give far too much power to religion and to religious organizations. In addition to state laws, the granting of too much protection to religion and religious organizations needs to change. Don't you agree?

I agree with what others in this thread have said. Especially if you are abused by someone in an organization, go to the civil Authorities (like the police), not to a leader in the organization. Organizations tend to need to protect the organization and often choose to silence the victim. The article in the Daily Mail is a good, detailed article. Well worth reading. I hope it makes a differen

Back to the Topic of Medicare: You have to apply for Medicare with, I believe it is 60 to 90 days of your 65th Birthday, regardless of when you apply to take Social Security. They are 2 separate things. And definitely do not sign up for a Medicare "Advantage" plan, purchase a Supplement Plan instead. Medicare Advantage sounds good, but they will deny every medical thing you go for.

Letter Shows WW2 Pope had Detailed Info from German Jesuit about Nazi Crimes Yet Pope Pius XII remained silent on the Holocaust. Another example of a massively powerful church focused on protecting the institution First & Foremost. The LDS Church also did nothing. However, they did excommunicate some German Mormons who spoke against Hitler, or spread leaflets. Article is as follow

Very perceptive! One could certainly make the case that Moroni was speaking of the Mormon Church of today. But, then, most people think it is not allowed to criticize religion.

Wow! I thought I was being a nice person and extending some kindness. If we were compatible, we would be matched up and find each other on a relationship website. Sadly, within 6 hours, it looks like the response is demanding and impatient. Let’s just conclude that we are not compatible and leave it at that.

I also am looking for a new life partner. I had been married in the Temple, but when I discovered the church's corruption I stopped going. After a while I told my husband I had been reading about church history from literature not published by the church. I explained to him that from the evidence I had read, and the copies of original documents I had obtained, that I didn't see how the church cou

The similarities are eerie in the 2 cases talked about in this podcast titled “When You Need It To Be True” https://hiddenbrain.org/podcast/when-you-need-it-to-be-true/ 2 stories about how easy it can be to believe in a false reality — even when the facts don’t back us up. The story begins with audio of the UFO cult of 1954 in Oak Park, IL. One quote: "When dissonance is pres

Regarding the one-piecers: That’s what I had to wear. When I went to the temple, I and the other young women who were attending for the first time were told that we had to wear them all the time – day and night- except for while swimming, and only remove them while bathing or having sexual intercourse with our husband, and that as soon as we finished sexual intercourse we were to put on the g

I'm sorry that you're going through this, Annabelle. If you are over age 60 you might want to look into the elder abuse statutes in your state. The man is very likely one of the types described in this book, which I highly recommend you read: "Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men" by Lundy Bancroft. He has been a therapist treating these men for many years.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to say that when a person who is the victim of abuse comes to you for help it is not helpful to suggest to them that the abuser "needs a hug." Is it possible you are of the belief (which is mistaken) that abusers are abusers because someone abused them? That would be incorrect, if you believe that. In a few cases it is true, but the

I have a question... In the earlier thread of "How Many Years Since Your Mission," (the thread that is now closed), one of the commenters, I think it was the 2nd to the last comment, said "and didn't have to keep our location secret, as they do now." What? Are current missionaries now told to keep their location secret? And, what is that referring to? Keep their address se

One of the reasons many people on the right refuse to wear masks is because they actually believe THEY are following Science. You see, a physician posted an article saying wearing a cloth mask (anything other than an N-95 or more restrictive) is like "using a chain-link fence to keep out a mosquito." Due to that being a physician who posted that article, many on the right take it a

SO we get to bail out the Catholic Church. This is a church that aided and abetted child molesters, covered up for them, and hid them INTENTIONALLY! And now we will be paying taxes to bail them out. Here's a link to the AP article, by the way: https://apnews.com/dab8261c68c93f24c0bfc1876518b3f6

Keeping it male-dominated, admission controlled by male connection is sad. I once did a term paper on the history of the Masonic Lodge and read about Masonic origins in England. Even the accurate histories done by Historians among the Masons shows that Masonry originated with the stonecutters and dressers craft in England. It then became a guild with trade secrets (and skills) to protect and

As I was reading a post on RfM where some comments were made about Preston, England and the Temple there I decided to look at some photos of that Temple. It looks so much like a warehouse or a prison with a lack of windows, and the architecture looks as if it was designed to imitate windows (designed to FOOL - designed to DECEIVE). The lack of openness and lack of integration into the beauty
