I am one of those bitter, can't believe that people buy into this, ex mo's that lives in the secondary promised land of Idaho. I grew up in SE Idaho, where the bacteria Mormonismcoli infected all things political, local, school, and social. But I took the cure, moved to the other side of the state, and have had an enjoyable life. But I still like to commit little acts of defiance....
1. When on business trips, and I HAVE to stay at the Marriott hotel, I always find the book of mormon and inscribe which a Sharpie for the next reader how this book is complete fiction, and full of hypocrisy, and for example the guy that owns this hotel is mormon, but one of the largest purveyors of pornography in the world.
2. I love to walk into the Deseret Books, mill around, and wait till I get asked for assistance. I say, yes...can you show me where the book "No Man Knows My History?" is?
3. At my children's schools, that have significant lds populations and there is a parent get together, I always bring my Starbucks coffee in with me, and make comments like..."I love this coffee with every fiber of my body." I also like to have chats about the social irresponsibility of having large families, and inquire if anyone knows a good female LDS lawyer.
4. If I find an obviously hot LDS MILF somewhere, usually at he bus stop, or the cupcake store, I always comment "Have the brethren reinstated section 132? If so, I am interested in signing back up."
yes, i need to build a bridge, yes, I am immature. However I sort of feel like it must have been to be in the free French movement during the Nazi occupation.
