I'm with Elder Berry. Please seek professional help via a helpline or a counselor. Your pain is palpable. I've gone through the pain of losing the entirety of my family and have nearly been crushed by the pain of having a son develop schizophrenia. I know deep, unending despair and have managed to somehow keep living but it remains a challenge. I'm in a much better place now but it doesn't tak

My husband's parents moved the family to Kaysville back in the 70s. They weren't Mormon and had no clue as to the local culture. Both parents smoked and his dad was the regional sales manager for Miller Brewing Co. They were pariahs in the neighborhood.

But what is the "clear" foundation the pipes are "resting" on? Personally, I think of something solid and substantial when I hear the word Foundation, not something clear - which to me suggests something breakable and fragile. If they are using the word "clear" to mean something like "obvious" or "straightforward" I still don't get what they ar

"The pipes rest on a clear and firm foundation" -- What does this even mean?? Are the pipes resting on thick glass? If so, what does this symbolize? What do organ pipes have to do with stability or a firm foundation? I don't get it. The other thing I find odd about the logo is that nothing is touching. It feels cold and disconnected.

Contact your nearest NAMI office as soon as possible. NAMI stands for National Alliance on Mental Illness and they can offer your sound advice and support as you move through this crisis. https://www.nami.org I have a 23 year-old son who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia when he was 17-1/2 years old. It has been a rough journey but he is now in a good place. I attended the Family-to-

Stores are running out of hand-sanitizer in my neck of the woods which is eighty miles from where the first U.S. death occurred this week. People are also snapping up Clorox wipes like crazy.

This is a link to a blog which summarizes the atrocious End Times "Left Behind" book series by Tim LeHaye and Jerry Jenkins for those of us who will never read the series themselves. This entry deals with LaHaye and Jenkins pathetic attempt at sexual tension while maintaining the necessary purity for the protagonists. Here is a quote to serve as an appetizer: "The Cookie Incid

" The Holy Land Experience last week filed notice with the city of Orlando and state officials announcing it would be eliminating 118 positions. That represents most of the jobs at the theme park in Orlando's tourist corridor. ... they shifting focus from entertainment and theatrical productions to the park's Biblical museum. The decision will allow them to continue to receive tax breaks

I was curious about the Christus Statue at the Salt Lake Visitor's Center and came across the below site which says "Meet the Mormons" plays regularly in the Legacy Theater with "new faces and new stories". It also lists the site MeetTheMormons.com -- So I guess they are still Mormons??? I wish they would make up their minds. https://www.templesquare.com/explore/north-visi

I was acquainted with the Tanner's during the Hofmann years and it was Jerald who openly expressed doubt about Mark's "luck" in finding rare documents over and over. Meanwhile, Sandra openly supported Mark Hofmann. Around 1984, they printed a "Salt Lake City Messenger" newsletter where Jerald presented his reasons for not believing Mark and Sandra expressed her support of M

"Women are not destined to be coy or passive in the mating game. When they are the more numerous sex, they engage in sometimes fierce competition among themselves for the few available mates. Exhibit A might be Schacht’s home base, Utah, dominated by the Mormon Church. Such is the nature of Mormonism that men are apt to leave it while women are more likely to convert to it, and stay Mormo

I'll believe he's serious when he sells *all* he has and does his best to return all the donations he's received over the years. Unless he does this, he remains the unrepentant liar and deceiver he's been for many years.

The LDS church seems to be stuck in the Eighties and reacting to the charges of Ed Decker, Ex-Mormons For Jesus, Walter Martin, and the like, that Mormons aren't "real" Christians. 30+ years later, they're so busy rebranding that they haven't noticed that Evangelical Christianity is also becoming increasingly irrelevant and is dying a slow death. Even the most conservative Christian

When it is consensual, tickling can be fun. However, it can also be used as a tool for aggression and abuse. My grandmother would force me to sit on her lap while she "counted" my ribs - it was cruelty disguised as fun.
