Too conservative for the free-spirited, too free-spirited for the conservative? I have been thinking recently that this may be one of the church's biggest problems when trying to concert new members. Essentially, the church is conservative in nature, conservative in dress, conservative politically( prop 8) and conservative when it comes to lifestyle( no drinking etc.). However it has some

Just wondering if any of you had family or friends who tried to warn you off Mormonism before you joined? Especially since information, such as we can readily find on the net nowadays, was not available until recent years. If so,how did you react?

So really we have no reason to doubt lol!! http://moroni10.com/Joseph_Smith_101_reasons.html Is it really bad that as a Nevermo I am crying with the laughter at this?Especially the quote about Cowdrey being there when he 'saw John the Baptist'!! Particularly loved these reasons to believe; 'Joseph had to use several hiding places for the gold plates because locals kept trying to fi

The guy was drunk and suicidal though,so they decide to show him some LDS videos?? He then got a knife and threatened to kill them. This is what they are succumbing to

I can help you with the Catholic dress code as I was born and raised one. There is none! I think this could be in part due to the fact that there is no set church which you have to attend like a Mormon ward,so you have total anonymity. When I would go shopping for the day in a city with friends we would just go to whichever 6 o'clock mass was close by.

Always wondered this as a Nevermo. Did you ever tell anyone this on your mission? That they can come dressed however is comfortable for them? Presumably this is totally untrue as it is one of the strictest 'Christian' faiths regarding dress that I have heard of and certainly the only denomination which requires certain undergarments . 'Officially, the Mormon church does not impose any dress

Never Mormon here.Maybe one of you could enlighten me as to why Mormons take photos at church? Coming from a Catholic background here so find it very strange. You'll often see on ward Facebook pages or on Mormon peoples Facebook pages random pictures of them at church. It could be of them walking around the church or entering the building or even just sitting down. Why do Mormons

This is so distorted. A man in Idaho is dying of cancer and has been told he has only 6 months to live. He has decided to visit 100 temples before he passes away. Why spend what little energy and time left on this? http://www.youcaring.com/mission-trip-fundraiser/calvin-s-temple-trips/294467 https://www.facebook.com/calvinjoan.newby

http://mormonsandgays.org/ Have any of you seen this website? They care about gay people now? This website is just sick and twisted in my opinion,'No one fully knows the root causes of same-sex attraction'and 'We believe that with an eternal perspective, a person’s attraction to the same sex can be addressed and borne as a mortal test. It should not be viewed as a permanent condition.

If any of you have been on the mormon.org Facebook page recently you may have seen this campaign. This is how they're planning on winning you back guys.Mormons(including babies, kids, celebs like David Archuleta) hold up a sign saying 'I will share the gift by...'.They then post a photo of themselves doing this on the internet. One person said 'by giving cookies to My neighbours'. Watch o
