With that statement, you appear to segregate those who feel they have a purpose to correct the theologians verses those who believe they have no meaning. Correct me if I am not reading the thoughts correctly.

I hope you can see I misread your sarcasm, but like blacks receiving the priesthood, I believe the LDS Church in the future will succumb to political pressure for women and gays. Sorry for the misread. I was not trying to hijack the sarcasm, and just did not read the feelings behind the post.

Aren't atheists meant to sharpen the mind and remove the dumb ideas that come from Bible by theologians that don't think rationally? Isn't that a good purpose that has meaning?

I agree with you that the women will receive the priesthood in the future.

We need to base our beliefs on reason by using valid facts and evidence. Belief by itself causes doubt, and religious belief requires emotional human feelings to bolster and energize believers to trust the theologians and their flavor of religion. The purpose of atheism is to cleanse the religions of all the theological ideas that teach dumb ideas from the Bible. There is no other way to change t

By the way, the video is a perfect example of a man who wants to deceive everyone by telling a half-truth and leaving the mind to jump to its own conclusions about Einstein. The evidence is demonstrated in this thread.

The logic is Mormonism is a scam today, so there is most likely similar scams on the planet. The ones at the top hide the evidence and lie, lie, lie by twisting half-truth, just like the First Presidency. They are not going to confess to their crimes and stop robbing us. What is your evidence? Is it: "The Mormon Church is the only criminal scam on earth?" You haven't revealed your assu

See? Here is the programing trick. Teach people that some people are born smart and others are born dumber. But that is not true. People are neither smart or dumb. The *ideas* are smart or dumb based on reason applied to valid evidence and better assumptions. How we are raised will produce the results, whether in wealth to spend our time thinking or poor to spend or time working and not thi

Eric, analyze my posts after I was asked to leave. The evidence proves the poster/posters here are not telling the truth. Every post is related to the original topic and is related to Mormonism. If someone starts accusing me or questioning me, I will respond to it the best I can with reason. I have been focused on helping Mormons recover. However, there is other places to go besides atheism,

As the prophecy fails about the Book of Revelation, it will unravel the LDS Church in time. That is the good news.

Yes, many believe in God and except evolution. Why? Because the big-bang theory matches their belief system that God created mortality from nothing. We now have the Pope and Catholic Church coming in line. That is the evidence.

The big bang theory was created to appease religions that believe God created us from nothing. The Pope has finally agreed to evolution. Can't we see the scams going on at the top to fool us. Evolution is true, but not the big-bang theory, based on the evidence we have, better theories can be created. See? The idea of coming from something smaller than a dot could only come from the theologians

You make a good point. The theologians sit in their ivory towers in the heavens and get paid salaries to dream up bad ideas to believe, just because they said so. Then the Book of Mormon makes all the claim you write based on the Bible, but then, the Book of Mormon says the "plain and precious" ideas where removed from the Bible by the "great and abominable church". It is pur

I do not want to prove it to you. They are very reasonable assumptions and conclusions with what we know as solid evidence after 1820. Unless you want to challenge my assumptions as irrational, there is no need to discuss it further.

People get together to "fellowship" and build each other up emotionally, and that is fine. We need each other to survive, as long as the person knows their religion is a social club of deep emotions and do not expect to learn any truth from it. Stay "mentally" away from the theologians and false prophets, and we will all be fine. That's what is so confusing. The truth is

You have demonstrated the debate I described still exists proving the presenter told a half-truth to deceive everyone. He knew what he was doing. Claiming Einstein did not believe in a personal God is true, but it certainly is not the full story of what he believed. If a young adult listens to the video, he is going to be misled about Einstein by presumptions of the mind that will kick in automa

21. To Eric
The reason I asked where do I go is this is my home of sorts. I need a board with a strong atheistic mind to challenge my ideas with reason and not name calling. I have avoided the evidence on purpose because I don't want to force anyone to believe what I write. If they really want to know the evidence my mind uses, I'll be happy to share it, but not as a way to change anyone's mind, and if they

You are right. If there is a God that exists that lives in us, He could care less about our vocal prayers, but that doesn't make the messenger right or wrong, but just reasonable. *If* the idea is reasonable, then God, if He exists, would be much more interested in private prayers that nobody else can see to keep the hypocrisy away for praying to be seen of others.

A therapist guides you with the questions asked. The therapist is in control and you are not. It is not a two-way relationship like a friend, where you get to ask questions too and also be of service to the therapist. Because you pay the money. Apply Covey's ideas and you will discover it is a one-way street of dependency to pay for the therapist's standard of living as long as possible. If a per

They have been working on the problem for over two years, but when the new evidence surfaced, it has seemed to prove the old theories wrong. If true, then the next step is to figure out what is coming out of the earth and why. If true, then this is a remarkable discovery.

The idea is not new. In the Sermon on the Mount, it says to pray in our hearts privately in secret, and we will be rewarded openly where no one else can see it but us.

Why does this man deliberately mislead us about Einstein at the end of the video? It is debated frequently about his belief in a higher intelligence. Could it be the 7% or a portion of the 7% elite scientists believe like Einstein did? The presenter is very skillful at not lying, but he tells half the truth and leaves the audience to make its own assumptions about Einstein. These are the half-

Anyone can read Exodus 20 and the few chapters before about the creation of the hierarchy of judges and make their own conclusion about the post. There is no reason to discuss this further. Someone asked if God is ashamed of religion and the question was rationally answered.

The post identifies the Biblical hierarchy originated from Jethro, and the people at the top of the hierarchies (mental pyramids) tell half-truths and rob us. The post is not intended to argue the existence of God. Whether an atheist or not, it doesn't matter.

Exodos 20 records He gave the ten commandments to all of Israel with His voice, and the people asked God to speak to Moses but not to the people. They had the hierarchy in place at this time to trust in. They wanted to trust in the hierarchy of men rather than God. Men and women have never changed since that moment.
