How can we be sure we aren't being counted as 'member' in the annual statistical report? If we are being included, is there potential for class action against ChurchCo?

Yep - good word - nauseating. Get a load of what Nelson is telling these poor Africans - get rid of your dowry because ChurchCo needs your tithing! ChurchCo is building a temple for you and you must be worthy to marry for time and all eternity - vomit! How in the hell is ChurchCo going to end poverty in Africa? https://www.deseretnews.com/article/900016023/dowry-is-not-the-lords-way-in-keny

This is very, very damning to ChurchCo. Very interesting to hear the call by counsel for the church to change policy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH7erEoNEc8

What folks fail to realize is that ChurchCo was very, very crafty when they built this building. It is a temple that is temporarily cloaked as a 'learning center'. All of the elements are all present to quickly turn it into a functional temple. No conspiracy theories here - just plain deviancy on the part of Spence Kimball and Jeff Holland, among others. My family visited the 'temple' in the

Per another thread - I think this is part of a reactivation tactic - go after those members that have quit ChurchCo for one reason or another and kindle that tender testimonkey again. I think they'll get a lot of fence sitters and/or mixed couples e.g. one believing spouse/one not or never mo, etc. back into paying, praying and obeying.

Don't forget, Boyd KKK Packer's Brigham City temple that is 15 mins from Ogden. It could be that ChurchCo got the 13 acres in Layton as a heavenly donation - at least in part. Could be that the owners of the property stipulated 'we'll donate it if you build a temple on it'. To answer your question - there are lots of members in the area - as to whether or not they NEED it (and a new temple

Quentin Cook, who co-orchestrated the biggest theft of public property in Marin County CA history - (read here https://archives.sfweekly.com/sanfrancisco/sutters-empire-strikes-back/Content?oid=2134927) boasted in conference that temple recommend holding members are at an all time high? Really? In the most Mormon saturated area in the world (Utah) with (soon to be) 19 profit$ centers (temp

Layton - oh dear this will only hasten my exodus from the state. What will this be - number 18 for Utard? Ogden doesn't run at capacity and neither does Bountiful from what I understand. There must be potential tithing money in the Layton, Kaysville, Roy area hence yet another revenue center for ChurchCo at the expense of the taxpayers.

Remember the Gong Show in the 70's? Well we now have a new gong show in ChurchCo - Elder Gerrit Gong that is. He sang a song during his talk today and deserved the gong! He admonished "Follow the Profit$-he knows the way." This is such a load! What has any ChurchCo leader prophesied that actually 'came to pass'? These geriatrics can't see beyond their penis. As others have posted -

I really think Mr. Burns would be more effective. He could do the hand wringing bit while he tells all the defectors that the gospel and Plan of Salvation are most E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T! And then he could threaten to throw all the defectors, bound and gagged, into one of his nuclear reactors if they don't return and report.

No surprise here. Ensign subscriptions are way, way down just like the dying newspapers in print. Mr. Burns isn't a dummy - he knows that to get the word out you have to do it on social media. Finally, a profit that is acting like a seer (sarcasm).

They want access to Bears Ears retained so they can continue member indoctrination by having them reenact the trek west. https://www.sltrib.com/news/politics/2018/03/16/mormon-leaders-in-blanding-sent-a-letter-to-members-encouraging-them-to-comment-on-bears-ears-which-includes-a-historic-pioneer-site/

No surprise that this bizarre poll on KSL (LDS Inc. owned) is peppered with Mormon leaders of the past. Don't know what to think of this other than it is strange. Wonder what the back story is? Could this be some kind of attempt by LDS Inc. to gauge the importance of LDS Inc. in a Utah that is becoming more and more secular? https://www.ksl.com/article/46280187/poll-who-is-the-most-prominent-u

Someone should just stand up during his talk and blurt out as loud as they can "I'm leaving the church!" We know how 'sagging jowls' bristles when he hears talk like that. Sort of like a caged animal that isn't being fed.

This is a play right out of the Thomas Stuart Ferguson playbook. This dude, like Tom, have the scientific method completely turned upside down although Tom had the balls to fund digs which can get very expensive very fast.

Hey all it's the Burns/Dodo World Tour - get your tics! Russ Nelson a.k.a 'Mr. Burns' and Jeff a.k.a 'The Dodo' Holland have announced their upcoming world tour just on the heels of the next conference. Is this a rescue mission or just a 'get-to-know-you' tour? At 93, Russ needs to make the rounds (no pun intended) quickly because a tour to Kolob might be his next. Interestingly, he'll have

Definitely not a new topic or new finding. Bishops have been counseling those with troubled marriages to 'stay in the boat' for years. Some of the abusive marriages that I am familiar with stay abusive and really don't get better. And yet some do. I have a friend who was in a Bishopric here along the Morridor and he told me once that fidelity and abuse in marriage was the MOST time consuming

Anyone have any intel on why the vistor's centers are closing? My guess is they are underused. Some of the closures seem more reasonable than others. Mesa Temple - hmmm? That temple is located in a fairly dense Mormon populated area. Seems like there are plenty of missies to staff them regardless of how busy they are. http://www.ldsliving.com/Church-Announces-Closure-of-Another-Church-Visitors

Thanks for the suggestions - my personal resignation letter was extremely simple - one paragraph. However, my BIL feels a need to let membership know why he is resigning. I told him it really didn't matter but he wants to tell them anyway. He totally flipped out when I 'helped' him understand what went on in Nauvoo. My TBM sister (BIL wife) has daggers for me now and has told me I am breaking up

Lord this dude was apparently planting cameras all over the place. I wonder if all cameras have been found? Next time I'm in a church chapel (highly unlikely) I'll check for cameras in the bathroom. Sheesh! https://www.ksl.com/?sid=46249431&nid=148&title=prison-ordered-for-man-who-hid-cameras-in-lds-meetinghouse-bathrooms

I read on a blog that Von Keetch could have been in the running for the Q12 vacancy. Hmmm - entirely possible. Keetch is a stellar example of what LDS leadership would be looking for in a new leader. He was born in the bread basket of Morgdom - Provo, UT., served a mission to Deutschland, got ALL of his education @ BYU, celebrated attorney that had a legal career similar to that of Dallin Hoax, 6

Doctors at American Fork Hospital found that his left lung had collapsed. They sedated and ventilated him, then transferred him to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, where he died about 9:40 p.m. Friday." Keetch went out in a bad

I find it interesting that the church feels it has to publicize what Uchtdorf has been assigned to do. Sounds like a bit of pandering to those that were upset that the airline pilot's wings were recently clipped. Seems like his 'punishment' continues as he was just assigned the worst gigs in the church - leading an ineffective missionary force and the European areas of the church where inactiv
