What concerns me is that if this woman is saying such a thing at work, she is probably saying it to her child at home. Verbal abuse of a child is against the law in Utah and reportable to DCFS and in Utah everyone is a mandated reporter, not just the usual professionals. DCFS staff are no doubt aware of the high rate of suicide among that boy's age group and of the danger he's in emotionally.

I'm with Dark Princess on this one. No hiding things, but no flaunting either. If you consider what you do as within ethical and moral bounds, then own it and live it without apology.
