I find myself still cast in the role of child at times; that is what I was taught to be... The old pattern(s) no longer serve me--Awareness is step #1, in itself painful... Can I liberate myself? Long-term relationships carry old patterns which, upon challenge, Rock The Boat. Peeps don't like it. Some will go away...and vilify the one asking for change & further awareness. Are 'deep

I was told 'We don't just *let* people go.' Of course, that message was delivered via tbm soon-to-be-x, a nice little message from our steak prez. I told the messenger that if they tried to call me into a 'Court of Luv' I would see them in a court of Law. Then I threatened to go to the press. : ) Name removed! (...or not?)

Over the p.a. system-directed *at CHILDREN*-reminding them to not lose their parents in the store. YIKES. I can't believe this. Actually...I can. Here is more displacement of responsibility, further adding to the confusion known as mormonism.

Both. Tscc sets the stage for it & supports unhealthy relationships. Not being an 'expert' on this makes it no less real, and we each are truly the experts on our own lives & experiences. Introspection & education are the way *out.* I will be getting *out* of the cult -mentally- for the rest of my life.

BIG props to you, Shaggy, for your courage. You are *not* alone, and please know that it gets better...and better! : ) Give yourself *lots* of TLC-be kind to yourself. You have entered Freedom, a scary yet worhwhile place to be. Laugh loudly, embrace light-mindedness, and speak your truth. *hugs*

I was a temple ordinance worker in 1990 when the big changes came to the endowment ritual... But, alas, I have not the proper and righteous gonads necessary to be 'high profile.' That's ok-- I slit myself open too many times to not carry residual fear...

A very dear friend of mine (who has since left the cult) worked for a short time with "Family Services" to 'help' young pregnant women. Yeah. Her integrity would not allow her to continue working with them due to the relentless pressure TSCC placed the girls under to manipulate them to give their babies to "worthy" parents. The girls were given every kind of help need

Greetings, fellow Mo-No-Mos! I left the crutch in 2005, effectively exploding my family after being a dyed-in-the-wool TBM for nearly three decades. *THANK YOU RFM for helping me through my exit transition.* (I could hate you for telling The Truth, but...well...no.) Former Spouse got a new, upgraded Molly installed nearly immediately and they set to work making things right. Of course t
