No, there's no temple there. They are assigned to Provo Temple. I'm guessing that there isn't enough of a year round population to support one yet. Too many vacationers. Too many luxury properties that aren't actually lived in.

Well personally I love trump. He's the best we've had since Kennedy. The market has risen 15% since Clinton disappeared. The world affairs are doing much better lately. We have president who isn't afraid of offending the Chinese and Mexicans. We should be having parades for trump, he's made me $1000s in my IRA. Anyone who does that is great!

The article basically says it's the fall of quality employment for non credentialed white male workers. When a middle age fellow doesn't quite make it into middle management and gets layed off he ends up as a whopper flopper. There is also falling rates of successful marriages (thankyou feminism) accompanied by failing mental health. Ya I see a lot of those trends around, lots of minorities takin

It's like those con-men on tbn that get on everyday preaching the prosperity gospel of sow a little seed and it will come back to you 100 fold. And of course what they are getting at is send them your money. Benny Hinn comes to mind.

I saw this, Masood was born in Kent. Strange for a man born in England enjoying a civilized country all his life would do such a thing. I guess he's a muslim?,... surprise, surprise. All I can say is "build that wall."

I sure enjoy reading these posts. It just seems that with the emphasis on "modesty" that stripping down for a good rub would be taboo. But ya Mormons can't stand two pair of earrings or tanktops but apparently this is ok.

Probably no illuminati or secret society if that's what your getting at. But certainly high power wealth management corporations, accounting firms and law practices, advise the corp. of the president on how to manage financial assets. Kirkon and McKonkie don't sit across the street from temple square by accident, lol!

this is just my thought just now, People see things better when it's not too dark. Light skinned people are easier to see at a distance, but blacks I can't make out their features especially in a darkly lit room. Humans sense of beauty is likely tied up with how well they can see.

So I've been wondering about this for a few days. Do TBMS consider it a sin? Are there approved massages? What's not kosher with massages? Is it encouraged now? Can mishies do it? How about coed massages? For an answer I first turned to Mormon Doctrine, but McKonkie mysteriously forgot to make an entry on that subject? Eagle Gate college (which uses an obvious reference to Mormons and Bri

sometimes bad things can happen when we make major poor decisions. Take for instance chain smoking, the curse is lung disease. Or how about promiscuity? the curse is STDs. Or driving reckless? the curse is getting maimed for life.

1) Daily prayer 2) Bible study 3) Creationism 4) Dominionism 5) Ten Commandments displayed 1 and 2 because life is confusing. Kids need answers anywhere they can get them. What's most important to learn in School is the development of character and acquisition of manners. It's very difficult to teach directly without religious education. Ask any high school teacher. Every few years school

how convenient it's all in the states. No one has to go through the jungles of Guatemala or pass through war torn Venezuela. Guess they won't be seeing the actual myan pyramids. For TBMS This would be like taking a bible tour but going to Japan instead of the middle east?

everyone has a dark side. lots of people who are well to do and prosperous get an attitude and tend to really enjoy bragging about their wonderfulness. They enjoy feeling so blessed that they aren't like "those" people.

Ideally it may be best to find a girl from Guadalajara. Mixing cultures with an Utahn is going to bring a whole new can of worms. And complicates life.... Of course life can be complicated regardless.

It may be helpful to think of it from the MIL's perspective. She sees OP as disrespecting her name and family. Taking what she wants without honor to customs or conservative values. MIL is a compassionate women to give $200 away each month. That's a lot of money but for OP it's just not enough...

very true, There is time to pursue ones dreams but I think people need to separate a hobby (reading Shakespeare) from making a career, such as medicine. And as people get on with the years their options start disapearing. Financial aid gets used up. Kids end up married and saddled down with responsibility. Responsible choices early on are what's important. But yes I suppose people get discour

the standard was your ears have to show, and it can't be longer than your collar, and there must be a part. Bednard hair was the model (but perhaps a little longer).

Catholics generally believe that they are born into original sin and once they get tinkled on they are sealed for heaven. Then they spend their life doing whatever they want and before they die they call a priest over and forgives them of their sins, and they go on to live in Heaven. Some protestants take life more seriously. Depending on the branch, many actually believe that how they live t

Well in my view the days in Genesis goes along pretty well with the time periods of the earth that scientists describe. Sea creatures and creeping things were created before the beasts of the field. The waters were divided in the beginning. It all fits together pretty well with what science says? The bigger issues that I see where science gets off course is how it all actually occurred. In cr

magical things happen all the time. It's just that people don't talk about it openly because they will get ridiculed. But I don't care, I'll go ahead and tell you what happened to me when I was a mishi years ago which I think was a miracle. So we were in a car driving and got side swiped, the car spun and ran into a telephone pole. We were in an old car that was built like a tank. One of thos

I'm guessing that the state representatives look at the whole picture, and mormons are only a sliver of the actual problem. Salt Lake is/was a sanctuary city (before trump) which means that the doo-gooder Catholics and the current mayor (which I wonder about) have been welcoming poverty into the valley for quite a while. It's basically immaculate suffering for penitence and self loathing in the

this is what I'm thinking too. As well as the trend of people not establishing roots for decades in one place. These days it isn't uncommon for people to up and move numerous times for their jobs to different states. Whereas 40 years ago people tended to stay in their home towns more and were well known by everyone.

I agree, lets be glad that in the new world we aren't slaves to popeary and Catholic church anymore. Another reason the Irish are drowned in their sorrow is because they have always played second string to the English. Lets add the Brithish to the list of oppressors. Here in the West it was always the English who got the best land, who capitalized and pilaged the resources. The Irish came after a

I'm reading his book right now the naked communist. And am learning quite a lot about Marx and Engles, and the push towards communism. They were very self absorbed and had an idea of a powerful government coming to take over and force everyone into a collective mind. Religion would be done away with, classes would be done away with, property rights would be done away with, and eventually laws wou
