"True for children who may have been born under the "covenant" and died before reaching age 8." Is it also true for those not born under the "covenant"?

Are children who die before the age of eight eligible to get dead dunked in the temple? Or does "age of accountability" also apply to the deceased and TBMs feel they don't need to baptize them?

Here in Nebraska, chili is always paired with cinnamon rolls. I had never heard of the combination until I moved here, but they actually go good together.

The Omaha World-Herald published an investigative report on the Omaha area Goodwill just this week. It's not a very charitable charity either. http://www.omaha.com/eedition/sunrise/articles/no-culture-of-thrift/article_15c6f7c8-f172-5c0b-95a4-b84ac01ac6ac.html "Federal tax records show that Omaha's Goodwill in 2014 paid CEO Frank McGree total compensation of $933,444. And McGree is f

With the missionary age now at 18, isn't a mission a 2 year graduation tour for a lot of Mormon high schoolers?

This was on my Facebook feed--a TBM relative of mine had liked it. Mission: $$$$$ Lunch after the airport pick-up $$ Having your neighbor call the Sheriff's Office because you lit off a handful of fireworks to celebrate his return: Priceless! How dare that neighbor have a problem with fireworks being set on a missionary's return? Isn't that at least as big of a deal as the 4th of Jul

I like the old joke that says there are three other states besides Utah that celebrate Mormon Pioneer Day. Illinois because the Mormons left. Nebraska because they kept going. And California because the Mormons stopped before they got there.

Does your husband have his own friends and activities he does without you? He may be feeling overwhelmed himself, especially if he's feeling like he's only taking care of you, not doing anything for himself.

In a related question, why is Moroni referred to as an angel but Peter, James, and John, who also supposedly appeared to JS are never referred to as angels?

I taught school in Utah 20 years ago. Back then we teachers had a saying: "Welcome to Utah; Where we stack 'em deep and teach 'em cheap."

And doesn't Salt Lake rank first in the nation for plastic surgery? How does that relate to the push for modest (ie frumpy) clothing? maizyday2 said: What Mormon's call modest, I have discovered, is clothing that not only covers the body, but also has a least a tiny bit of the "frump factor". THEN it gets thumbs-up as being "modest."

“Take faith, for example. For many people in our world, the opposite of faith is doubt. The goal, then, within this understanding, is to eliminate doubt. But faith and doubt aren't opposites. Doubt is often a sign that your faith has a pulse, that it's alive and well and exploring and searching. Faith and doubt aren't opposites, they are, it turns out, excellent dance partners.” Rob Bell fro

Only 24% were the one true way to send Christmas cards. 47% at least said Merry Christmas. So this guy counted up his cards, put them in piles, and crunched the numbers to get his results. No "about half" or "around one fourth" which might have come across as less assy but still not classy. What a pompous jerk.

I never did understand it. "She thinks she's so great." Used as a put down. So thinking well of yourself is a bad thing? No wonder I still have self-esteem issues in my

The reason no one helped Monson while he made his downhill slide at the podium was because Uchdorf was at the edge of his ready to catch Tommy if he fell. http://www.ilovethebookofmormon.org/2015/10/06/why-no-one-stood-by-president-monsons-side-the-untold-story/ Al
