Thanks to the OP for this link which I just watched. The frustration and near anger that Dehlin feels is real. I have gone through it too, and still do from time to time. Recovery is different for each of us. One of the things about RFM that ticks me off so royally is the tit for tat unimportant junk from so many posters who actually do a disservice to the seeker of information in recovering f

Just the thought of LDS Corp. diminishing or abandoning the BoM because we know (and they know) it is not true, says everything there is about TSCC. Dishonest. Untrue narrative. Power hungry. And its one true god is MONEY.

When I learned about the Book of Abraham hoax in the Pearl of Great Price and had seen the evidence at MormonThink about the Book of Mormon, I got rid of my quad. I NEVER liked reading scriptures. My quad was practically new and forty years old. The thought of all those cross-reference citations from the D&C, BoM, PoGP and Bible just grossed me out. I knew TSCC was not true. I was sick

You might be interested in the internet, downloadable and FREE reduced version of the Tanner's Mormonism Shadow of Reality. It's called "The Changing World of Mormonism," by Jerald and Sandra Tanner. Link to the pdf: http://www.utlm.org/other/changingworld.pdf I also read Grant Palmer's book (An Insider's View). It is excellent too.

CD: By far I agree with others, this is absolutely the most insightful, powerful post on RFM I have read in the seven years I've been here. I completely relate to it all. I read your post early this morning and then took off for my morning walk around 4:30am. For an hour I talked out loud to myself. I came to the conclusion that once you have learned the truth about TSCC and have been aw

Remember that in the secret temple ritual, The Second Anointing, the woman has a role to play. After the husband has had his feet washed by an apostle, and anointed to be in a Godhood in the hereafter, the couple has the holy spirit of promise bestowed upon them and their calling and election (to the highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom) is made sure. Then...the woman (in another room of th

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkO-0GanKzc That video makes me cringe. Think of it. It only takes one unknowing infected person on the plane to be singing and infecting the whole lot of them. They are so naïve and probably believe that the Mormon God favors them. I can imagine what could happen with the CV in 30 days from now. It's like lambs going to the slaughter and they don't e

Hi Ted, My wheat grinder is electric and made by K-Tech. It is loud with a high pitch and so I always wear ear protective headphones when it is turned on. It makes excellent fine milled flour for baking. If it ever dies I may try the WonderMill sold in Pleasant Grove, Utah since I have heard it is much quieter. As long as my K-tech keeps working, I've no need to change models. My 1970's

I have all my food storage in proper airtight containers placed neatly on shelving stored in a cool, dark, dry area of my home. The "cool" part is critical. So many TBMs stored their food under the bed, in closets, in the garage or in areas where summer heat could get to it. Not good. My home storage started back in the early 70's. I slowly add to it over the years and use it regu

From the Desperate News: https://www.deseret.com/faith/2020/3/25/21194822/coronavirus-mormon-church-temples-closed-coranavirus-covid19-lds-latter-day-saints All temples closed as of last night. But this sentence got to me: "closures have happened in swaths as church leaders said they were following guidance from government and health officials." So the Q15 have to follow guidance

No. I have not seen God. But if I did and I knew it, I would not forget it, especially if it, she or he appeared to me with its son. And I definitely wouldn't forget the date, especially if we had a 3-way conversation and they were floating in the air the whole time. Moreover, back in the 1830's, Joseph Smith was the editor of the Messenger and Advocate (published in Kirtland, Ohio) and along

In 2012 I discovered MormonThink.com. I was fascinated with the section on the BoM called "Early American Influences." See: http://www.mormonthink.com/influences.htm Having read the BoM several times I was already familiar with the strange language which I thought was unique to the BoM. Isn't it interesting how TSCC repeatedly admonishes church members to constantly read the BoM? Wel

Hey Jerome: There is no need to tell any leader in the ward/stake that you want to be released. You simply send an email (like I once did) saying: "Effective immediately I resign my church calling as ....." And that's that! My SP once told me that you have to learn to say NO. It's tough to do if you have never resigned a calling or just said NO, especially if you are a peopl

Great. Toward the end, where there is the photo of Jeffery Holland frowning, I would have liked to see his quote from the Tempe, AZ rescue: "I'm not going to let you leave it ." (Holland's quote from transcript): https://www.exmormon.org/phorum/read.php?2,1809298,1809298#msg-1809298

Spot on. Remember all those conference talks from Nelson trying to explain Hebrew or ancient language texts? How he tried to position himself as an "intellectual" with an apostolic-smarter-than-thou declarative exclamation point? I'd sure like someone to find a video or sermon by Nelson where he was proud to call himself "A Mormon."

My very first thought on eliminating the word Mormon from the mouths of TBM's was to make it akin to pornography or a sin to say it, write it, or think it. When you have TBMs reacting in conversations "Oh, we're not supposed to say Mormon anymore," you create an environment where peer pressure mounts and TBMs begin to conform. As they conform they attach Nelson's statement that sayin

...So where does that phrase come from: "I might be envied by a King because I am a Mormon boy?" Take a look folks, this is from the official LDS.org website that approves and lists the songs that are sung in the MORMON church. According to the words of church president Nelson on Sunday's final general conference session, he the prophet said that using the name Mormon is a victory fo

So TSCC wants a "home centered church?" Here's the link to the article: https://www.deseretnews.com/article/900035371/president-nelson-expected-to-speak-as-latter-day-saints-gather-for-general-conference.html Article states: "It is time for a home-centered church, supported by what takes place inside our branch, ward and stake buildings." "The weekly sacramen

"I don't bear testimony of the restored gospel, JS, truths, etc. I do, however, bear testimony of..." Well that sounds just like something you would expect and do hear from many of the GAs in SLC and most of the Q15 who KNOW that the LDS church has so many historical problems about it being the restored church. In fact, we've read hear on RFM about the number of Apostolic visits to v

Question: Will you be 100% honest and tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in Fast & Testimony regarding: 1) That Joseph Smith engaged in money digging and was found guilty in 1826 (Bainbridge, New York) of the technical term called 'glass looking,' which is looking at a magic stone and claiming you can see the supernatural inside the rock? 2) That Joseph Smith and

I never heard of Mark Hofmann, the American counterfeiter, who is featured in this photo: http://www.utlm.org/images/newsletters/115/115cover_hofmannchurchleaders.gif In fact when the entire Hofmann affair happened back in the early 1980's I heard nothing of it while living in California. I only learned about it in 2013. My first impression on seeing the photo was that NONE of the men pictu
