to think he will get to the Celestial Kingdom anyway. There are no guarantees that he has done enough in this life to get there. He has obviously failed someway because his whole family is a buch of heathens. Speaking form the viewpoint of the church anyway. : )

It was sooooo RIGHT ON. I am a fan of the show anyway, but last night was really good. Also very fortunate time coincidence with the BKP thing.

After a conversation about BKP my cousin told me he could tell that I was unhappy by my countenance. He said the total crap about people being tested beyond their tolerance....and other crap. Anyway it put me in a funk so I wrote this letter. What do you think? I am not sending this to argue. I was REALLY sad by your last post on my page. You think I am unhappy by my countenance? I

not to the President of the Quorum of the 12? Meaning, when Monson dies has there ever been a case to justify NOT making BKP the next profit?

You don't need a visa to cross the boarder. There are tons of Mexicans that come across to shop, work, go to school. I see cars with Mexican plates all the time.

"Shame on you Boyd K. Packer!!!! Your ignorant and hateful remarks at General Conference create hate and discrimination. You are a sorry excuse for a leader!" It took about 5 mins for a cousin to respond with, "wow bingo. really? unnecessary." He is young, I hope to save him soon. He is bright and not too indoctrinated. I just can't understand how he can defend that man

WHY? San Diego Temple is 15-20 mins from the boarder. Sure it might take awhile to drive over the boarder but what about sacrifice? There is no way I believe that the S.D. temple is busy enough to justify the temple so close. Maybe they don't want the foreigners in the ritzy La Jolla neighborhood where the S.D. temple is located?????

1093. hmmmm...
At San Diego State this Fall semester there were 9500 spots and 72,000 applicants. I would be willing to bet there were more popular schools in California than SDSU. I would say that there is no way that the claim could be backed up..

I wish I could have seen though the facade, you are not a loser simply for that. I didn't see through it as quickly as you did. Also I was a convert so when I left I wasn't disappointing parents. YOU ARE VERY BRAVE. Like others have said, look into a community college and see if you can take a class there. And, like you said, go get a job. I think supermarkets are almost ALWAYS hiring.

Certainly we are not suggesting you be selfish, but if you refused to baptize him your father would wind up doing it and it wouldn't be a big deal. You are only in your head right now so it is ALL ABOUT YOU!!! I still wouldn't do it and explain to my brother how much I love him but would much rather see our dad do it, or something else easily understood by a soon to be 8 year old.

I thought it was a guy thing only. I have fantasized about people I hate too. I don't know why it is. Let's google it. I think the suppression of feelings was hugely damaging to me. Maybe less for others.

13 and 16 is plenty old enough to decide on what activities they don't want to be a part of. I've said it before, you don't need a church in order to raise your kids with values. You don't need a church to raise your kids with values. I don't know what you mean by "high" values because that seems like saying "good greatness." I am guessing you want your kids to postp

She is clearly highly indoctrinated in the cult. One thing I'd like to point out to her though is that it would have been even sweeter and more productive if her dh would have offered to sit with ds, place cool wet cloths on his fore head, go with him to the Dr., let him watch what he wanted on t.v. etc. than to immediately think the first thing that should be done is prayer.

3 billion for a church to spend is strange. Spending it to build a mall is ludicrous. Beautify downtown! Knock down old buildings! Add green belts, create space for small businesses. Cheaper and probably a better investment.

1101. Wow.
Dude, thats a tough one. I think you should practice being assertive. If you don't want to do something then I don't think you should let guilt force you to do it. Your brother is 8, he will get over this really fast, especially if you go do something fun with him instead of the baptism thing. Talk to your parents with out your little brother. Tell them you are uncomfortable doing it and w

Well, yeah. Who answered no though. Even in the Philippines people always answered they would pay. I remember my own baptism interview. I was a teenager and paying tithing on a teenagers salary which really didn't seem like much to me.

Just like they taught us in the MTC we were told to remind people of past spiritual experiences. Just like he was telling you of the boy from seminary, we were told to reactivate people the same way. I think he may have been compensating for a wavering of his own testimony. How many times were we told to look at some one else's testimony when ours was weak? He looks back at your spiritual GIA

There is a running cadence in the Marine Corps where "pies" have a slightly different implied meaning. "I wish all the ladies(widows) were pies on a shelf, and I was the baker. I'd eat 'em them all myself." I bet that was a cadence in the Navy too. Monson, you are a sicko. hahaha

stories needed? I guess they help children remember lessons...like Mother Goose stories. This was for adults tho, and very obviously made up. How could anyone only see the dirty windows spots on the laundry and not on the rest of the world? Plus how does this relate at all? Is it supposed to be if you are a sinner you can't possibly see correctly enough to judge others? What a bunchofcrap!

Yeah, if you have "problems with sin" then its ALL your fault. I hated that VERY time I went in to the bishop with a problem, after explaining, he would ask: "Are you obeying the commandments?" Oooooo I hate it!!

I am 99.99% sure there is no such thing but, if Jesus presented himself to me he would have a lot of explaining to do. Just like an abusive human parent I'd acknowledge their existence but as for accepting or worshipping......NO WAY!!!

I would say, "How exactly will I be losing my family? Are you going to tell dh to divorce me? IF you are talking about eternity its all good, 'cause I (either don't believe, or believe I will be anyway). You are a pompous ass." Thats what I'd say.
