I was just thinking this. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I know that having a boyfriend--who goes home--is way more "fun" than a full time spouse. A spouse on lock down sounds like a true mood kill.

That said, I'm thrilled that my current job requires zero painful tasks--for me or my patients. Congrats on that vaccine!

I'm a nurse. People often tell me they hate needles. I tell them, "No one likes the pointy end." :)

A former friend got a letter from the church seeking her input regarding her ex husband's wish for a temple divorce. She sent a reply that detailed his abuse and infidelity. Two weeks later, her ex went to the temple and was sealed to his new bride. They work in mysterious ways. lol

Ms. Dorothy is a woman of worthless--according to any remotely Mormon standard. Divorced. One kid. Employed. No church anything. ZERO interest in a makeover EVER. Anyone who doesn't like how I look can avert their eyes. So let me understand this-- --women who are in abusive marriages--worthless. --Women in polygamous marriages--worthless. --women with drug and alcohol trouble--wor

Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Overeaters Anonymous, Alcoholics Anonymous...none of them like to release their data, if they keep any. Most of them are doing about a 95% fail rate for long term recovery. Humans. What ya gonna do?

For the umpteenth time: If you don't know you're lying, you're not lying. Kindness--always. Always.

I know I didn't HAVE to have the letter, but I took great joy in putting it in a scrapbook--along with my last temple recommend--and my stickers from Planned Parenthood--and... Even though it's all fluff that means nothing, I wanted proof that I don't have a bishop or a minister. I'm not Sister Dorothy despite the dang salutation at the top of the letter.

Disagree. I did what I thought was right until I didn't think it any more. I have three TBM brothers who I trust completely as wonderful, trustworthy humans. It might be true in some cases, but not most.

The "BEGATS" get my misogyny award. All of those men having baby men! Miraculous. Women doing ALL of the work. Men taking ALL of the credit. Rant over. Carry on.

True. Joe's Word of Wisdom was more of a suggestion. From there it evolved to one sip of iced tea and you're practically tossed out.

The ban was from Joseph Smith who never made it to Utah, but it was absolutely about the Mormon's closed economy. That closed economy was a main reason they were so hated. They didn't play well with others.

I agree, you won't care, but right now you know you'll be leaving a bit of a mess behind. I believe in life after death--OTHER people's life after my death.

Update: Ex hubby spent 5 days in the hospital with Covid related pneumonia. His brother is on day 6 in the hospital with Covid related pneumonia. His 79 year old mother is positive and asymptomatic. His 81 year old father is positive and has fatigue and a headache. His niece was positive, had a bad headache and is recovered. His sister in law was ill, but hasn't been tested. She

My exhusband has Covid 19. He pretends to be just inactive with his very Mormon family. His father, brother, sister in law, and niece are all ill, but won't get tested because they don't believe it's real. His mother told him, "If you get a test, it will always be positive because they want to inflate the numbers." If the prophet would come out and say, "The CDC is reliable
