What century do you want to live in? The Tudor Era? The sole purpose of a secular state having a religious law such as this is to enforce order and mandate belief. Only dictators and tyrants fear freedom of expression and the freedom of thought. What do you have to fear?

Human sexuality and gender expression exist within a continuum and are not binary states. Imposed gender and sexual norms don't work. Look at the all too high number of gay Mormons who kill themselves.

If single guys my own age wanted to date me, I might agree with you. Instead, I only seem to attract older, married men who want to have an affair -- doctors, laywers, politicians, military officers, top university academics and the like. I tried it a couple of times. It's fun but doesn't lead anywhere. Once, a manager wanted an outside of the office relationship. I had been wondering why his

What I've noticed is that the more successful or more influential a man is, he's less likely to be monogamous.

Again, what does this have to with abortion? It's about religious preference by adoption agencies. Also, the idea of open adoption is very recent. Ask yourself why all of these "religious freedom" laws have sprung up in last few years. And, as I've told you many times, I don't have any paritsan ideological blinders. I don't care if something is left, right, or upside-down as long

TMSH, pull your head out of the sand for a moment and think. You aren't stupid and I know you have seen more of the world than I have. This is not just about restricting adoptions. This proposed law is just one of many attempts by cynical politicans over the last few decades to legalise prejudice under the guise of religious freedom to pander to ideological voters. Most don't pass. Some unfortun

the desire of a great many (but not all) conservative evangelicals to dominate and control the levers of power in America is not Here are some questions to ask yourself. 1. What does support for reintroducing 19th century laissez-faire capitalism, the gold standard, racial discrimination, etc. have to do with Christianity? Why are far right political views are now matters of faith for ev

Utah is the closest example of a theocracy in present day America. LD$, Inc. controls things from behind the scenes where the money is. The evangelicals want to run things from up front out in the open. If someone wants to live a "biblical" life they have every right to do so -- as long as they don't infringe on the rights of others. But then current situation is not just religious

What would you think about living under religious rule then? Why would you think living under evangelical Christofascist control -- with laws and rules to enforce a white Christian dominated cisgendered hetero normative society -- would be any different? Do you really think people will meekly accept forced racial discrimination, denial of scientific fact, second class status for women, and
