A break from this board should be just what the doctor, counselor, psychiatrist, etc. ordered!

Nelson looked evil when he was responding to Peggy's question during the press conference. The way he says how he knows her parents and grandparents. Creeper!

No, he should pick one of the few minorities who's currently one of the seventy to be his first counselor. Really shake things up!

If Urchtdorf was named president of the church, it would be good for membership. No doubt. He's like a handsome game show host.

I would feel angry and distrustful as well. It would be nice if the two of you together could find some other social outlet - maybe a couples group that dines together or something. Or, if he needs "guy time," it would be nice for him to pursue some hobbies and interests that will help him meet some other men to be friends with. Like rec sports or fishing, hiking etc.

I don't know, but if you check out a red-letter Bible, you can easily see the things that Jesus said.

Congrats on the decision to leave the LDS Church. It sounds like your 13-year-old was indoctrinated really well. It will be awkward for him to go to the LDS Church alone, but you can't be compelled to keep attending for that reason. It's just the consequence of his choice. I would think that after awhile he will be glad to be free of the LDS Church. He'll have more free time, greater fr

Be careful with those Chinese buffets. Seems like one gets closed down every week in Salt Lake! (I'm exaggerating, but still). Ewwwwww.

Well, they might be old enough not to suffer too much if you and your wife were to divorce. If you can stick it out for a few more years and retain your sanity, that's another option. I hope it goes well when you talk to you wife. After you do that, you'll probably have a better idea about if you want to walk or not. Good luck!

The wrong thing going viral can ruin a life. Or at least set you up for getting all kind of threats and unwanted attention.

If you don't have any kids, I'd get out of that marriage and not look back.

I was a non-denominational Christian before I briefly joined the LDS Church in an attempt to better my marriage and appease my husband. I've since divorced and resigned from the LDS Church. I still consider myself a Christian.

I hope your daughter doesn’t spill the beans to her classmates and ruin Santa Claus for the other kids. My daughter still believes but her best friend doesn’t. However, his parents told him not to disclose it to other kids. So he hasn’t let on.

I never liked Mr. Rogers for some reason. I'd see that train with the puppets come on and change the channel. I did, however, like Three's Company. And MASH. My dad came home from work at 5:30 and we had to sit down to dinner immediately, so I usually missed Three's Company. Irritated me.

Since you are a legal adult, yet don't want to unnecessarily strain your relationship with your parents, I'd ask for the general mental health guidance. Additionally, I'd seek out AA meetings to begin to take control of the situation for yourself. Use the free resources available to you and accept help from your parents as well. Best of luck!

I agree with you, Amyjo. Just this morning I was thinking about my younger brother. It seems that evil influences and darkness are surrounding him and I'm not sure how to help or get through to him. He's in the process of destroying his life through alcoholism. All methods of talking to him and reasoning with him, sympathizing with him, listening to him, etc. have failed. At this point I

It cracks me up to think of a boy, probably a teenager, wearing women’s leggings beneath ripped jeans to avoid showing his leg. Quite a fashion statement!

Some teachers have really started to dress casually the past few years. I'm in IT, so I get to wear nice jeans on a daily basis (sometimes I have to crawl around on the floor, connecting network cables and such). But if I were a teacher I think I'd try to class things up a bit. ;)
