Seriously? The crossfire and ricochet? What is this, a wild west saloon? If you live in Utah, and go out in public at all, you are likely around many people who are packing, legally.

Guns aren't going anywhere. Criminals will always get them. Get to the root of the mental health issue but how? It's pervasive! No good, easy solutions.

Each person would need to pay for his or her own gun and training. Obviously. I'm all for more sensible, sane people carrying concealed weapons.

I work for a school district in the Salt Lake valley. I can tell you that some people within the schools are already armed. (I’m not a teacher, but an IT Field Tech assigned to three elementary schools.) Earlier this week the lady who shares an office with me at one location showed me her Glock 43. In light of guns not going away, and mentally ill people becoming what appears to be more pre

I’ll bet you’d feel really proud of yourself for standing up to them and saying no. I know I would if I did so in your situation.

Goodness! That's funny to throw a tantrum because some cartoon cat whiskers look vaguely similar to what some consider to be a holy name.

If this is about Billy Graham, today on RfM is the first time I’ve heard him referred to as a televangelist.

To me, this shows that people are hungry for something: maybe fellowship or an opportunity to learn about God.

He's really, really old. I'd say let's cut him some slack with his outdated views. It's hard for the older generation to turn on a dime and think something is suddenly ok because society accepts it now.

We can agree to disagree. From Wikipedia: "Billy Graham conducted 417 crusades in 185 countries and territories on six continents." He wasn't merely a televangelist. He went to many, many countries and reached out to the masses.

I don’t imagine the LDS Church will ever stop beating this drum regarding homosexuality. Hopefully the old geezer’s comments cause some of the faithful to question things. In the meantime it will harm gay members, likely making them feel bad about something they already are torn up about. So shitty.

What about getting an inexpensive basket, filling it with a variety of canned goods, and leaving it on his porch?

While it might not be scientifically productive, I would never begrudge a parent who asks for a blessing for his or her sick child. My heart goes out to anyone in that situation.

Well you might be fine with it. But think of kids in elementary, middle, or high school. They might not feel comfortable having the opposite gender in the restroom.

I don't see how it's illegal activity if they haven't even been buzzed in yet -- and the reason they haven't been buzzed in is because the store clerk feels uncomfortable!

What about jewelry stores that have to "buzz" you in to their store? If a sales clerk feels uncomfortable, for any reason, should he or she be forced to "buzz" in someone who might rob, steal, etc?

From what I understand after reading the linked article, the student wants it both ways -- to play on the boy's team but to use the girl's restroom.

"Your response indicates that you are a supporter of the ongoing chastisement of others who see things differently. How's about getting off the lectern and letting people develop their own views without talking down to them from uppityness..." Exactly! I am tired of the ongoing chastisement of people who have a different point of view. We simply will not all agree -- this baker issu

I think the terms "hate" and "bigotry" get thrown around way too casually. A baker politely pointing someone to a competing bakery to fulfill an order they feel uncomfortable providing is showing hatred? I don't think so.

I just can’t get behind the idea of forcing a baker to go against their deeply held religious beliefs. No matter how many responses I read that indicate it should be against the law for them to politely suggest another bakery.

Maybe it's about people who want to make a big deal: "They won't bake a cake for me! Waaaaaah! I don't want to go to another business, I want to go to this one!"

From the article: “In an eight-page ruling on Monday, Kern County Superior Court Judge David Lampe said Miller could continue to refuse to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, as such confections were a form of “artistic expression” and “expressive conduct” and therefore protected by the First Amendment.” She shouldn’t be forced to make the cake. She seems very sincere about

One thing that has helped me drastically, in many areas of life, is recognizing cognitive distortions (irrational thoughts). For example "you are all the same people" is an overgeneralization and black and white statement. Cognitive distortions cause pain and anger within ourselves. The only way (that I know) to battle cognitive distortions is to recognize them and replace them with
